My Daughter was pleased with the shoe stuffers. The bunting was hung straight away.

A while ago on here, it was mentioned how to make your own cotton labels. Now i do have all i need, twill ribbon, transfer paper etc.Now for the life of me, i cant get my name to print properly on the ribbon. It appears back to front.I have tried reversing it on my pc but nothing works.

Can any body help me with this please.

    Many Thanks.

have you mirrored it from within the software or did you go into your printer preferences, you may have to do it in the later there is usually a properties box or advanced setting when you go to print.

just put paper through first to check its worked so as not to waste your ribbon

I can't remember the designer of the fabric I used for this apron - either Joel Dewberry or Amy Butler.

I can do zips - but don't like sewing them. This is Marie Keltzer fabric.

I need a rotary cutter, i have money in my Paypal so im hoping to get one on eBay.

Can anyone recommend a good one? I dont want to get a random one and it snap within seconds of using it.

I use the ones from poundland and they are quite good and work out cheaper that buying a good one then having to buy replacement blades

Lovely made things to look at! Fab, am going to have to work out how to post photos of some of my bits. Any advice?

Has anyone ever used a ruffler foot on a sewing machine? I love the look of them and OH said he will get me one as a birthday present (very very sad, I know), but was looking to see if worth it? Really I just like gadgets, not sure how much it would get used...

2nd school skirt came out well, better waistband cos I put interfacing in the front flat bit and a bit less elastic in the back so it is less prone to coming down round ankles... And box pleats much neater - will post photos if I can work out how! And also finished a purse for a friend, again photos to follow.

The zip was hard work, it's a concealed one and the first one I've done... Couldn't quite work out exactly how to do it but looks OK :-)

When you go into your print options there should be a button called advanced. If you go into that there should then be a button that says printing preferences and then page layout and mirror tick box should be in there. x

Mysk, that looks excellent. Really unusual. Love the ruffled fabric. Sure your friend will love it! x

Lovely makes Florence. That apron fabric is really nice. x

Rufus, your blouses look great. Im so jealous that you can make clothes too! x

Anyone got an embroidery machine? Im looking at getting a Janome 200e (if my OH will agree to getting me an early Xmas pressie!) but wondered if anyone had any other recommendations. Would like one with a USB if possible. x
