    Hello there

May I join you please as well? I love all kinds of needlecraft but sewing and embroidery are my favourites.

I was recently given a kindle however begrudge paying out a small fortune for a cover. I am sure that I saw someone on the boards had been making a kindle cover.

Could anyone help me with this?

That would be a lovely gift if you used some really cool fabric. Here are a couple of tutes for scented shoe stuffers. x

Love the idea of doing these for men. Perhaps in denim or something, but can't think what to scent them with that would be masculine.

    Any suggestions?

Could try Sandalwood or Cedarwood (although I think Peppermint might be the best for stuffing in men's shoes !);)

Sorry you didn't get the job, I'm sure there is a better job out there for you, just keep trying.

Good luck with your craft stall this weekend, hope you manage to sell LOADS!!

Not done any sewing for over a week, been trying to decorate the room I usually use, but this tooth infection is mucking up all my plans :(:(

Right, off to load up Dreamweaver...going to take some time, so had better get off here soon. :D

    Happy sewing everyone.

    Welcome Fizz!

You can make kindle covers pretty simply. Here is a tute for you.

HMO they look great. Love the colours you have used.

Cuddles, if you have a look for your foot (its got a little bit on the side of it to stop your fabric going too far over) and use your overcasting stitch it should work ok. Bit like an overlocker but cheaper! :D

Sue, Im so sorry you didnt get the job. That sucks. :(:(

Love the makes. That is the sort of doorstop I made as presents a couple of years ago but I didn't make removable covers. Did you do an envelope top for the velcro opening - like a cushion back?
