I was wondering that myself yesterday. Where was everyone. then I thought. Well sewing obviously!.
Love the top. Bark Cloth. Shows my ignorance I had never heard of it.
Congratulations for tomorrow Miss Pixie!!. Thoughts and prayers with you.
Hart, I am still a bit off of the pace. My own fault, pushed myself too much. Trying to get stuff done before I am off on holiday. Now I have scuppered my sewing for a few days becuase I pulled a muscle in my shoulder trying to cut the lawn.!!! Derr....When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

From my ebay searches (I am desperately looking for new curtains or cheap fabric - in blue not teal -for my enormous windows) I gather Barkcloth is some kind of 70's textured fabric, used in curtains & upholstery.0

I've made this top out of some bark cloth curtains I got at the car boot.
That is fab! and just the thing that I would wear too! which pattern did you use?0 -
I used a pattern out of Prima magazine. It was for a lot more tapered dress with a split up the back, but I made it more flared out to fit over jeans.0

Right I will have to see what I have in my Prima's. I dont have them all these days. As I no longer subscribe. Which is a nuisance. As I never get around to sending off for the patterns even when I say, oh I like that!. mmm
I have bought a pattern book, well two actually, from the Netherlands. Its called My Image, and Young Image. Really loving the patterns. I think I have put a like link on my facebook. Some really great shapes, but if your not very confident the patterns can be difficult to follow. There are 16 patterns spread across 4 sheets of paper. So each garment is done in a different colour. They contacted me as they want me to stock them and sell them! ha, I must still be listed as a stockist for another pattern company! Anyway. I shall be making some clothes for us for the winter out of them thats for sure. Especially for DGD.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Have a wonderful day tomorrow Miss Pixie. :T:j:T:j:T
Lovely top Georgia, really ought to start making clothes again, but never seem to have the time!!
Not doing any sewing atm as suffering from a tooth infection and trying to redecorate the conservatory. Still hopefully will get it all done in the next week. Then will get my sewing space back (DS1 back, so can't use his room).
Have a great day everyone.
