Thanks Handsewn, oven gove is a good idea and also some shower caps if I can find some cheap white shower curtains to cut up.

I'm *think* I'm going to make a fitted jacked with the suiting fabric from a Burda magazine patttern, with Chanel style edging strips. Its a bit advanced for me () but at least the fabric didn't cost me anything if I make a dogs dinner of it. How much fabric do you need Handsewn? I'll check the Burda pattern and measure up how much fabric I've got, you're welcome to have the left-over if there is any?

Chanel edging is always a win for me, I just purchased a jacket in that style. Good luck with it if you go ahead. Poundland have just got a load of cheap patterned curtains in recently, if that helps?

It is lovely of you to offer! To be honest, I wouldn't need a major amount of fabric. The dolls I sew for are Skipper (Barbie's little sister) sized. I'd arrange a swap with you if you wanted, I have a crazy amount of fabric at the moment. Not sure what the best way to go about this though, I understand MSE doesn't like swaps/selling? I am not on Facebook either, it rather scares me a bit!

whats the facebook thing all about?

i dont do facebook mainly because i am busy but also as i dont understand it?

A couple of days ago, someone mentioned that they were selling off some books etc on Ebay, I suggested that we had somewhere on our blogs etc where we could offer for sale between ourselves, or for swaps etc first, therefore avoiding fleabay etc prices. So for example if you had a few fat quarters of fabric left over after a project you could see about offloading it in someone elses direction before decluttering onto ebay. Then within 24 hours Miss Pixie had set us up a facebook page where we can put pictures etc or list things if we so choose of course.
How it will work, I am not sure, or even if it will work, but its free, so therefore very MSE!.
Were keeping it as a closed group, so therefore its only those of us from here really that are going to be members. However its not compulsory to do, and I am sure we will all be on here all the time anyway.
I certainly am not really much of a facebook fan, but I do like to share, swap and or loan things on the sewing side so for that reason I will give it a try.

By the way miss Pixie have sent a request but got confused and think its in my real name and not my mooloos, can you let me know if I did it the wrong way. Thanks

It wont let me join anything unless its in my real name. It keeps linking me back to my real name to do anything. Getting frustrated with it now.

Have you logged out, registered a new account with a different email and a different name like moo (first) loo (surname)?

I tried to use my other email address but it said I was already linked. Lets see if I can delete the other and start again. Bothersome I just do not understand technology very well!!
