Another newbie wanting to join in if I may?
I've decluttered some of the house during 09 but still have the mammoth task of the 2 garden sheds and loft to do this year. I'm giving up work in January to be a SAHM so I'll have plenty of time on my hands to do this ! There will be no excuses ! :rolleyes:
There are other bits in the house too if I'm honest (I'm a bit of a kitchen gadget hoarder tooso things will have to go !)
In = nothing today.
Out = will update shortly once I've got off here and got my bum into gear.
Emptynester we're going to be decorating too so need to get rid of the junk first ! Maybe we can remind each other about the garage/sheds when the weather gets better:beer:

Small steps... I might start with a makeup cull? Apart from bits I don't use, you can't (safely) keep it forever. I'm a serial hoarder, I have so many little pots of who-knows-what that can make it to the bin.
(Don't make me look under the bed yet. I'm working my way up to it!!)0 -
Definitely want to join in - my house/finances/weight/life is a mess and 2010 is the year I am going to sort it all out.
Plan on starting Jan 3rd, when the kids go back to school. Think I'll start making a list now though....:happylove0 -
OUT
Lots of empty boxes
Emptied all bins in the flat
Sorted through a box of stuff - now mostly in recycling bin
(pending) Few items added to my 'to be ebayed' box
(pending) Desk tidy for the charity shop
IN
Some food shopping0 -
Update for Ins and Outs lol ....
IN = still nothing
OUT = 2 carrier bags of clothes (freecycled)
sorted all paperwork on desk and thrown/shredded
sorted all old paperwork in files and shredded
last of the cheese and pate in the fridge (well not out exactly but
it disappeared into tummy's at lunchtime
Think that will do for today otherwise I'll have nothing to do when I finish work at end of January :rotfl::jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
I need to join the big declutter.
Good time for me as I want to move this year,want to put house on the market in the spring.
I have had quite a boost before xmas as had 9 staying over so had to tidy all rooms anyway,and decorated the lounge so got rid of loads of unwanted glasses and books from my cabinet.
House looks very tidy at the mo and I am determined to keep it that way,making sure that IF anything comes into the house it gets dealt with straight away,I am quite good with post that comes in sorting it out,recycling or filing it immediately.
Loft is a problem with me although I did manange to part with all my empty boxes from printers,food processors etc etc.
In today nothing
Out nothing0 -
Count me in too please! Lurked on last year's thread but determined to join in this year. It's nice to know I'm not alone - our stuff seems to 'breed' overnight. If I give the house a good tidy, it lasts half a day and then we seem to be back to 'normal'! I've put it down to having too much stuff - so if something doesn't have a 'place', then it has to go!
Right - off to find the 'no new toiletries' thread - sounds like fun!
Happy decluttering everyone!The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0
