  • Ok, Im in this aswell :) I already resolved to clear my 'Ebay shed' so I can use it as an actual shed, so Im doing that this year. I hope this thread will remind me to keep doing it!!

I hope to list around 5 things a day on Ebay starting in February [needs cleaning first, sells better] but I might charity-shop some kids clothes during January, and freecycle some random things like saved wine bottles which I have far too many of, spare washing machine hoses etc etc.

    So today:

    OUT -
glass/tins/plastic recycling and bag of rubbish. Burned loads of cardboard packaging.

    IN -
bottle of whiskey & bottle of wine DP bought home from the rellies

  • Ooo, can I join too? I've moved to a new city in the last few months, become a full-time student and gone freelance, and downsized to a very small studio flat...but unfortunately seem to have brought all the clutter from previous homes with me! You'd be amazed how much stuff you can actually fit in a studio flat if you don't mind not seeing the floor, bed, sofa etc!

Am going to start with big clearout of what can go to the charity shop tonight and go from there...wish me luck! Look forward to seeing how everyone else gets on too.

  • I love the sound of this thread - i think it's just what i need. I've got tons of paperwork and unopened post that i've been putting off filing for about the last 12 months.

I've also got loads of old clothes that don't fit anymore that i keep meaning to put on ebay but then can't be bothered. I use the excuse that it's the wrong time of year for that particular item.

If there's a way of procrastinating i'll find it!
  • Me too! Me too! Count me in... have all ready done the lounge and the kitchen as I am mid-painting but looking forward to getting it all done and back in place!

Saying that, am sure that both rooms will need re-doing next week!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Can I join too. Desperately need to move house - but too embarrassed to let the estate agents in!!!

    Everything is FULL.....

    Morning all

Realised yesterday that the recycling bins wont be emptied now until next week (they didnt come last week due to the snow!) so will have to take all of the cardboard to the tip myself!

    Anyway

    In:
New clothes for DS1 (12 years old and in mens jeans because kids dont fit any longer )
New handbag (my christmas present but I always buy in the sale!)
Picture frames to hang the pictures in the have been packed away since we moved (3 years ago now - not quite a declutter but it puts them where they should be)
    Food for New year
DH (works away so he came home yesterday :rotfl:)

    Out:
8 (yes 8!) black bags of rubbish to the tip
All cardboard boxes crushed and put out for recycling
Used up all the turkey and ham leftovers yesterday for tea

So today the airing cupboard gets my attention along with the study, and DS1 has to go through all of his trousers and find out what doesnt fit (prepare for the HUGE sigh!) the only good thing is that they will go to DS2 and what doesnt fit him can go to the charity shop
