I did the mug cupboard. It didn't take too long after all my faffing about.
Got a bag of mugs that we haven't used - ever, as far as I can remember.

4 pint glasses with handles that I don't think have ever been used.

Kids now have a bedtime (lidded) cup each, a daytime cup and a school drinks cup each. That's it.

    Will charity shops take them?

Wendy: Yep, after all it's no different from using a glass in a pub or at a mate's house. They'll just stick em in the dishwasher

    Out:

    • Rubbish
    • Recycling
    • more out of date spices
    • plastic bags put in communal cupboard

Haven't done much today, but was out all morning. I emptied out two shelves of the pantry, wiped the shelves down and put the contents back in a more orderly fashion. Got fed up and will do the other two shelves next weekend.

    From shopping yesterday I got:

    Pair of boots
Pyjamas, two pairs of gloves and bracelets from Primark
Tissue paper (for putting in gift hampers)
Concertina file to put all of my very important documents (such as MOT certificate - it took me several days to find it last year!)

    Out

One pair of the Primark gloves given to Mum
Old remote control for a cable TV box we've already got rid of - now have Freeview
Out of date mustard and tinned crabmeat (neither of these I like, so OH must have acquired them!)
Also found an out of date packet of angel delight, so will make that up for dessert later.
  • Having started properly yesterday, I'm now getting into my stride (baby steps!)

    IN :milk and eggs

    OUT:glass, card and plastic bottles.

    See baby steps.....

Just read mineallmine's signature and think it's a great idea to get rid of 300 things in about 30 days. Mind if I copy?

One quick question though, does 30 magazines out count as 30 items or just one pile?

  • Hi there everyone
I'm completely new - to the site as well as the decluttering, so I'm sorry if I do anything wrong!
    Ok
My bedroom has recently been redecorated, so I'm trying to declutter it, so I'm going to try and do another shelf tonight.
    So far today
    IN - Cookery magazine
    OUT - Vegetable peel :P
Will update when sorted my room (just so you know, I'm only 13 so won't be doing quite as much as the rest of you!) x
