The Great Declutter Part 2

Evening all
Its really good to hear of everyones successes, even the smallest ones are all huge achievements
Well the snow put paid to my weekend plans as we have been snowed in today and the weather looks equally bad tomorrow  So today I got up and went out and came back 45 mins later having managed to travel 5 miles because out LA is now not gritting only salting which when the temps are -10c just isnt working!
So instead today had a quick chuck out this morning before I went out and then when I got back decided to have a good go at the bedroom.
IN:
Nothing
OUT:
2 bags of recycling including lots of magazines from under the bed
1 black bag of rubbish
1 bag of clothing to the rag bin
Pending out
1 box of stuff to be put onto ebay - in the depths of my bedroom I found an unused case of Ruby and Millie make up though, so it was a result!
Tomorrow I plan to tackle the depths of the bathroom, and sort out my toiletries so that I know I wont need to buy any more for a while! Out me and OH to walk in the 'winter wonderland'
In me and OH to put our feet up!
We had walked for nearly 3 hours and had a great time but by golly was I weary at the end.
I haven't got rid of much the last few days as the bin has not been emptied due to the snow and I already have a load of stuff ready in one of the kids rooms to go out once the dust carts are back on the roads.
I will restart in earnest once the roads are clear, meanwhile this thread is great inspiration. Each time I open a draw or cupboard I am looking to see if anything can go out. It might be as small as a broken pen or unwanted recipe but every little bit is helping. Also had a LBM at work when a file of my course work was returned to me, I have no further use for it as the course is no over and it was very liberating to realise I could put it in the bin at work and I need never have it in my house again! A first for me!
Keep up the good work everyone, even the tiny 'outs' are helping and please keep posting we are encouraging each other so much.

Hello....:hello:
Have just wandered in from the Flylady thread and wondered if I could join in?
It's a long story, but basically we moved here in 2008, I fell pregnant almost straight away (new house, new baby and all of that!!) and had my baby in 2009, and now I'm sitting looking at piles of junk that need to be sorted. I haven't really done a thing for almost two years  and it's now becoming a bit of a joke (and not a funny one either!)
With two children (DD 5 years, DS 10 months) I've already got a lot to do, so I hope this thread will help motivate me to make the house a lot more fun to live in....
Got rid of two bags to the charity shop yesterday, but bought some bits and bobs in town - newspaper, antibac cleaner, rice cakes and some library books....
