I haven't got any get up and go. I think it's got up and gone! Do you think if I actually went into the kitchen it would help?!0

Update
Yesterday, I managed to put all my bags away (I can see why DD says I can't have any more...) which were on DH side of the bed which meant he was able to tidy his side after.
I have now cleared most of the rest of the floor (definately need to vac now........shocking it can get so dusty when covered with stuff!). Only two bags of rubbish - not concentrated on throwing anything out yet just wanted to get the floor cleared. Seeing lots of areas that I need to get down on the list so that I can start ticking things off. It is surprising the amount of places you can tuck stuff away.
I also cleared the radiator today and got all the washing hung up and undies/socks put away which makes a big difference. Have hung the clean washing the 'wrong' way round in the wardrobe to try and stop myself wearing the same things over and over again.
Really really pleased with the bedroom (and kitchen looking better after yesterday) so on to the next area.
Keep going everyone - by the end of the year we will be reformed characters with homes we can enjoy and relax in.
Best Wishes

Not too much IN (apart from food shopping ad lights for DH's bike which have already been decluttered/fitted) but not all that much out either.
Have got rid of 5 things on ebay (bags and old electronics, waiting for payment on last item) and also discovered a new use for Some packing peanuts I had hanging around - as crocks in the bottom of my newly planted up salad pots. I've also managed to make a bit more room in the cupboard under the stairs by rearranging things. Still need a hook for the back of the door so I can hang a few more things off the floor though.
Oh, and it doesn't really count as decluttering, but I defrosted the freezer yesterday and cooked a toad-in-the-hole with a packet of frozen sausages I found in there.0 -
Have just decluttered under the sink, a few old bottles of bleach etc to throw away and a few old medicines - looks a bit tidier now
I'm finishing work in a couple of weeks and don't want to do too much before then, otherwise I'll have nothing to do when I'm finished. Plan is to get the house done before the 'growing season' starts in earnest (we have an allotment which keeps us busy right from about Feb/March through to Oct/Nov).
The garden here could do with a bit of a declutter too but it's under a good few inches of snow still so no chance .:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
Hello:j
In: walking pole. Present from my parents
We've done major decluttering again so have been quite successful
Out Various bits of cardboard/glass recycling/paper
More bits added to the jumble sale stash
Sorted out my dollshouse craft stash and freecycled a bag of unwanted bits and pieces
Several dead batteries that are taken by a charity to raise funds
Pending a book and a battery recharger [on freecycle] - if no takers then they also can go to the jumble sale

IN
Nothing- thanks to the snow:rolleyes:
OUT
Bag of rubbish
Ebay parcels pending- should have been posted yesterday but wasn't going out in the snow- it was quite deep
Also pending - 3 charity bags - missed the collection the other morning they came about 8.30 and I hadn't put the bag out in time:o0 -
Have done my bit for today. Did more than I intended to do so that's a big bonus.
Decided to iron the summer clothes that have been sitting unironed on the rocking chair in my bedroom. Have been there since September. They are now all ironed & hung up ready for that long hot summer that we''ll have to compensate for the bad weather now:rotfl:
Doing this ironing spurred me on to tidy the rest of the bedroom. Admit more of a holding operation than a true clear out as although I managed to chuck some things I did move over stuff to spare bedroom ready for when I tackle that. But this did mean I could hoover the carpet for the first time in months & have now vowed not to clutter it again.
Have also added another book to the recycling stash & put away the 6 new rolls of Christmas wrap that I bought on New Year's Eve.
I love reading what everyone is doing. Posting on here & reporting back back what I have done works for me. NONE of the above would have been done otherwise today.
Keep it up everyone. I's only the 10th January and we've already achieveda lot!0
