Decluttering has come to a stop. I've got a bad back and even moving hurts. Looking on the brightside though DH and my mum and dad are shopping for just the essentials so lots of moneysaving going on.

Looking forward to joining you all as soon my back is better

    OUT:
Sorted out the family hat, scarf & glove box - a carrier bag of items off to the homeless clothing collection.
    1 book to a colleague.

Re-homed a pile of junk from the bedroom :o

By the end of today I shall have:
-[STRIKE]taken 1 small table, 1 annoying filing cabinet, 1 storage box on wheels to the CS [/STRIKE] DONE!
    - [STRIKE]I shall also check for more items for the CS as I only donated 2 pairs of trousers & 6 carrier bags this week.[/STRIKE]
    15 ITEMS FOUND & DONATED
    - taken the garden rubbish, tetra packs, large cardboard, polysterene & odd bits of wood to the recycling centre Can't do this today, so Sunday
    - taken some bits of dead carpet & a smelly goundsheet to the tip Sunday ....

Finally got to the tip with some extra bits & pieces including a dead waste paper basket.

    3 items into CS bag.
    5 items listed on E-bay

Resisted buying new bedding today & just got a bit of oilcloth for the coffee table - now I can sort through the old tablecloths :o
Enough left over for a wipe-clean runner on the bookcase & cabinet :)

  • Having deluttered and cleaned the understairs cupboard this morning (and feel rather splendiferous in doing so) I'm off to go challenge the master bedroom. I'm not sure what I'll find or what I will be disposing of but it has to be done. Hopefully will be back later to share with you the 'experience'

Does it always feel this good to tidy and remove?
  • I've also been decluttering lately. Lots of things been popped off to the charity shop, but most of it went in the bin.

Going to change tack though and try and sell some stuff on ebay.

Snap! I was looking for a nice tablecloth and found an oil cloth remnant in Laura Ashley for about £6. And it's lovely. :D I completely guessed the size and I was 'just' right.

    Decluttered:-
    - 4 magazines to a friend.
    - 1 toiletry just used up as part of challenge. Packaging recycled.

    another 5 things gone. :T
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.

My old freezer that I sold on Ebay was collected yesterday, it's so nice to be able to use the door to the dining area again, instead of having to go through the lounge.

I really must get rid of my old computer before Christmas, as it has been behind the dining table for the past few months, while I decide what to do with it:eek:! I think I'll offer it on Freecycle, it's old but still works, and someone might be able to make use of it even if just for spares. I think I will concentrate on de-cluttering downstairs this week, as it looks a tip, unfortunately I'm working this afternoon and all day tomorrow, so won't get much done till at least Wednesday!

Spent the day waddling like a penguin because last year's unworn thick tights kept rolling down :o put the other 2 unworn tights into the charity shop bag this evening, as realised that they were too small.

IN: a new pack of tights in the right size
