I have got nothing done this morning, so now it's time to get my act in gear and sort some stuff out.
Here's hoping I'll be back on here later this evening to let you all know what I achieved.
Update Tuesday night: The remains of the stuff from the enormous box are now 1 small box about half full of stuff I haven't dealt with, and one small box completely full of stuff to get rid of. Everything else has either been put away or thrown away.
Challenge for Wednesday: Go through box of late-nearly-ex's kitchen stuff and identify things to give to homeless charity (for them to give to homeless people who get accommodation and need kitchen stuff). Add to box with plates etc that I prepared last week. Put packing material in so I can take it to work on Thursday without things getting broken. Give it to person at work who's involved with homeless outreach thingy.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

The latest decluttering tasks -
Lots of cardboard. Had messy jobs so first put it on the floor for the task before recycling it.
Glass jars recycled.
Plastic containers used first temporarily for different purposes then to recycling bin.
Small supply of engine oil in a large container used for cleaning purposes then recycled.
Recycled empty (wood preservative) aerosal can.
So certainly a busy challenge when there is time and am wondering whether money-saving in general creates much clutter (!).0 -
Hi everyone,
I pledged to get rid of 100 items this month however, I have failed miserablyUnfortunately work and other family and social commitments got in the way.
However, all is not lost as I decided this afternoon to have a sort out of my wardrobe and make-up!
9 t-shirts/tops - charity bag
2 pairs of trousers - charity bag
2 handbags - charity bag
2 skirts - charity bag
Bronzing powder, old deodorant, 3 lipsticks, 3 mascaras, lip balm, fake tan, foot lotion, hand cream and a lip gloss have all been thrown away / packing / bottles recycled!
So it wasn't quite 100 items but all was not lost as that's 28 items less clutter in our home this evening!0 -

Put 4 of the 5 non-selling Ebay items into the CS bag today.
De-cluttered the cupboard by wrapping up 23 parcels: used up all my saved bubble wrap, mailing bags & tissue paper and finished the bag of new mailing bags & a roll of brown paper. May well finish the other roll too. Yes, I did AND a reel of parcel ribbon. Cupboard looks great now!
Nearly caused a mini riot in the Post Office by daring to post 11 parcels (all ready to go, just needed weighing & paying for). Post master said not to worry as the parcels keep the place open - just wish he'd said it louderI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Just decluttered the kitchen pin board, which was obviously well overdue as I found cinema ticket stubs and recorded delivery slips dated May 2007 on there! :rotfl:Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

Another boot load of stuff to tip yesterday. All recycling gone today (3 green boxes worth). Bought a new dressing chest for our bedroom. It's clutter at the moment though as it's in the kitchen to be stripped and waxed. Hope to get it done in less than a week but have a rubbish week ahead work and sleep wise. DS not back to school until Tuesday and Friday night is my only night not at work after tonight.
