Since last posting (Sat night) I haven't done much decluttering, but I have got my bank/CC etc spreadsheet up to date, made some important phone calls and cleaned up the paint that my kids had managed to get all over the living room floor. I've also spent time with a friend whose circumstances have changed, helping her fill in her first ever CTC form.

Tonight I am going to do a whole box. I really am. And to make myself do it, I am saying so on here, and then I will come back later and edit the post to say I've done it. Challenge set 21.59. Challenge completed 22.30. I can do this!!

One box duly dealt with. Loads of paper to recycling and loads more to kids' drawing paper pile. Several pens and pencils now in the drawer where I can find them. A few other bits and pieces put away.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

  • After having a rather tiring day (6 hour machinery assessment [I didn't know it was possible to sustain panic for 6 hours solid!]) and it being pay day I decided to have a little splurge on a new top for my best friend's "off to uni" big night out in a couple of weeks. What a perfect time to implement my one in one out policy for my newly de-cluttered wardrobe. I might even clear out a few of the older bits as well as the top is rather wonderful! Amazing how a bit of sorting goes a long way to alleviate stress :)

Well done to everyone on their de-cluttering over the weekend and the beginning of this week

  • I can't believe how the decluttering bug has griped me... just yesterday while I was cleaning the bathroom (plumber was due to to repairs!) I emptied out my make up bag getting rid of all those bits I've never used and those that have been in there years!!
I can honestly say I feel less "cluttered" within myself too which can only be good! :cheesy:

Can I join in with the decluttering please?!
Like others on here I'm a teacher and seem to collect all sorts of random stuff that gets a yearly clear out. Myself and OH have only been living in our place for 1 year but I've gained so much junk!!!

Doesn't help that most of my family and OH are hoarders...oh the stories I could tell! Most of the time stuff that comes my way goes out again to the charity shops if I can't use it, better that someone has it that could use it than it sitting in a dark cupboard!!

Today I'm going to tackle the ironing and the random piles of paper in the front room...I think they're multiplying overnight...:o
