The Great Declutter Part 2

Need to get into this really.
Had two weeks of work recently and got alot sorted out.
1. Organised all my personal paperwork and know where to file anymore that I find, plus shredded 2 bin bags full!
2. Started to organise other paperwork (charity I do work for) and shredded and recycled loads - there is still a mountain of this, but its all been moved into one cupboard and I can just pull out a bag or box when I've got a couple of hours and go through it.
3. Decluttered the bedroom and filed all paperwork.
Despite making such in-roads, there is still alot to do. Need to set myself mini-challenges I think and we desperately need to set a date to do a car boot for so we can start to declutter the loft, it looks like a bomb has hit it - if we set a date, then at least we have something to work towards.
Now I'm back at work, I find it very difficult to motivate myself once I get home.
So as not to overload and stress myself out, I think I'm going to sort one/two things per week in addition to keeping everything else up to speed.
This weeks goals are: put things away that have been snoozing on the dining room table for two weeks! and sort one bag of paperwork out of the cupboard.
Weekly tasks are to: sort recycling, file, shred and recycle post as applicable, keep washing up to date.

I'll be busy all day tomorrow until late, so I'm setting myself a double sized challenge today to make up for it. Challenge is to deal with two boxes, or a box and a pile or something. Challenge set: 17.34. First part completed: 18:43.Second part completed Wed am - but it was supposed to be an attempt to get Wednesday's challenge done early, so I'm still on track!
ETA Original challenge changed because I couldn't find the box I had in mind!

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Whoops! The piles of paper are still lurking around...decided to take myself to the cinema today...glad I did, it felt very luxurious and the first time I've been on my own!
Until tomorrow then when the ironing/ general decluttering will begin and I'll document what I've done...eeeeek!Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017

It has been a lovely day here today. Managed to dismantle the under used trampoline and have now reclaimed a large part of our very small garden. I need to get some grass seed now for the bare patch. DD is off to uni in a few weeks so we have decluttered her room. Out go 4 very large bin bags of stuff to various destinations.
Pleased with todays efforts.:D
Well done everyone:)MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13
Weight loss challenge. At target weight.0 -
Today DP and I took a bin bag of clothes, and 2 boxes of other stuff to the charity shop, and I posted an Ebay package. I have 27 items listed on Ebay, 1 with a bid already, so hopefully I'll get rid of a bit more clutter next week. I would have had a lot more listed, but I didn't find out they were having 2 free listing days until quite late on Monday, as I hadn't been online for a couple of days, and it was DPs birthday yesterday so didn't have time to put anything on there yesterday.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Today I felt inspired to get off my butt...I put all the files of sorted paperwork into those carboard magazine holder things to tidy onto a shelf, chucked out a bag of rubbish and threw loads of duplicate leaflets into recycling.
We got a desk off of gumtree so I've finally sorted out the front room into a working space instead of dumping ground.
4 items out tomorrow sold on EBay! Well done everyone on your tidying...it feels SO good!!Married in 2016. Bought our first home in 2017. Expecting our first baby in November 2017

DS1 attacked his room again:
- 3 recycling sacks of paper/cardboard (kerb collection a fortnight today!)
- 8 videos, some books, a picture plus odds & ends of clothes delivered to the CS
- DD will be selling 60-odd cds/dvds to Music Magpie
- I gritted my teeth & gutted the kitchen cupboard. Food storage is definitely an area to be worked on: worst item was a year too old bottle of buck's fizz!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
