The Great Declutter Part 2
Comments
-
Good evening everyone. My name is CarolineJane and I have today found Old Style and have become a true addict. I so need to declutter my house and I have no good excuses such messy children. I do however have a messy dog called Spike who has a toy box he never uses as he seems to prefer the living room floor.
So I would like to join in this challenge and have set myself a target of 100 things before the end of July. Hope thats ok and I look forward to a clutter free house.
Thank you

Pending: 2 Ebay items sold today, will be posted on Tuesday.

If I want to meet my target of declutter 100 things in 10 days I need to get a move on as I'm slightly behind.
27. Football top (charity)
This is trickling along. I need to put a bit of effort into this. I blame the heat! I am putting everything that needs to go to the charity shop straight into the boot of the car so I can see space appearing.
Welcome CJ, best of luck with your challenge. Be warned its very addictive!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I'm back from my excessive travel week - and already got 2 black bags for the bin/recycling. It's good to read about everyone's efforts and successes so far.
Actually I'm shocked at how much 'stuff' has accumulated in the house, seems it's easier to put something in a cupboard/on a shelf than disposing of it. I KNOW I will never ever ever fit into the size 12 frock lying at the bottom of the wardrobe and keeping it will not make me feel any better. :rotfl:
Am away today but will begin again tomorrow - need it all cleared for the weekend as the workmen will start on the boiler installation on Monday. Nothing like a deadline for concentrating the mind!0 -

So true! It always used to seem easier to just put something in a cupboard, or buy another bit of storage to fit in "that empty space" - and then there was no space to move around in, and no money left to buy stuff  so I changed2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
have just had two charity bags collected - 15 books that I will never reread, 3 audio cassettes, 1 gymbag and a very old camping mat have exited!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

STill rough and throat feels like it's coated in glasspaper
However, DH had DS tidying his room on Sat and I have just emptied his bin:
8 -10. 3 broken toys to bin
11-12 2 small toys put aside for Op Xmas Child boxes
13. pile of paper to recycling
14. match attax cards from?? (DS doesn't like footie) recycled (they were old and tatty)
15-16 2 FIFA sticker albums (blank) recycled
17. ONe hat that had been decorated for Easter binned
And a small pile of items sorted for NCT sale this weekend - if they sell he gets the money
Ooh - my contribution:
18-28 - CDs to musicmagpie
29-36 - ebay parcels posted today
hope you are enjoying this still lovely weather!

Only managed one bag of hi-fi magazines. Delivered them to a guy on Freegle because he didn't have a car and he presented me with a lovely bunch of flowers!
Started going through our CDs and typing the barcodes into musicmagpie. This was fun. Found a couple that were worth £3.00. It felt like winning the lottery because most were only worth 30p! Going to do a boot sale and try and get rid of them that way first.
Now for lunch..
