we've been here 14 years - and you can tell! Time to kick some butt!
the place is stuffed to the roof -as is the garage! DD2 is heading for a day trip to London tomorrow with friends so no distractions!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Not done much decluttering lately, mostly just bottles, cans and papers for recycling, and a few toiletries used up and packaging binned/recycled, but also took some saucepans to my dad's, along with his clean washing last week, got my new fan out of the shed, put it together and put box out for recycling, binned a pack of computer wipes which had dried up, put a couple of computer discs and a mouse mat which are not used into charity box, and did a pile of shredding which has gone into the recycling box.
I must get back into the decluttering before it starts to take over again , I've got 2 Ebay items to post tomorrow, and hopefully will have the energy to sort out the spare room/dumping ground, wish me luck, lol!

So that's 138 cleared out of target of 150.
Only 48 binned, rest recycled/charity/friends.
Wow 12 items to go to make sure I meet my target of getting rid of 150 things in June. Wish me luck!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I've got 4 things to take to the charity shop today, and I'm popping in to a record shop (as in vinyl!) to ask what they buy second hand..... I've also got an ebay thing to post, though as its only a convention programme, it isn't taking up much space - but it all counts, and its all money in the bank (or in paypal, anyway)
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
managed to take a few bits to the charity shop that id somehow 'aquired' that were gathering dust. just a some ornament/nick nack things.
suprising how you can have a sort out and have a sort out and tidyup and keep finding more stuff to get of despite trying to be pro active in keeping it down/at bay.
im sure it breeds when im not looking?0 -
Bah, I can't get the multiquote to work.
Anyway - thanks for the kick up the bum greent, and thanks karmacat.
Yesterday I decluttered a cupboard and now have a cardboard box full of junk waiting to go. I'm hoping to do a carboot sale with a friend in 3 weeks' time so will store it all up for then.
I also decluttered six bags of rubbish (but 3 were from my foster son's room!) and a lot of recycling.
Today it is fine and sunny so going to work in the garden. I may try to prune my bookshelf again later (I find this a particularly painful process!). More decluttering will be done tomorrow when it rains! Probably the cupboard under the sink, which is tardis like and I never seem to get to the back of it :rotfl:Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Did quite well in sorting out the spare room today, still a lot to do, but at least I can see the bed now, lol!
Out: Tube of shoe whitener, which I've had for years, and discovered today had gone hard, binned, 3 toilet rim block holders, and about 10 other random items, binned,
2 boxes from bathroom racks, small Coca Cola bottle, cat food box and cardboard packaging from shoe whitener, recycled
2 bags of textiles, put in car ready to go to recycling centre tomorrow
Done: DS clothes, that were on the bed, put in bags with the rest of the clothes he left here when he moved out, ready for him to sort out sometime (probably the 12th of never, lol!)
Spare bedding and winter clothes, that were on the bed, put in vacuum bags, and stored in the airing cupboard
Large box of Freecycle/charity shop items sorted, 14 Freecycle items listed and CS items put into 2 boxes in the shed ready to go to CS on Saturday
Ebay items put neatly into 2 boxes along with bubble wrap and jiffy bags, ready for when I list and (hopefully) sell them
Also did 3 loads of washing and some hoovering
In: New lawnmower, to replace the one that conked out over the weekend, (and will be going to the dump on Saturday) in the hall at the moment until DP gets home and puts it in the shed
Now having a well earned rest and watching Wimbledon!

Hi Sue14, wow you have been busy. About your lawnmower, not sure if you have thought of freecycle. People often put broken or not working items on there. Or someone may use it for bits. Just a thought.
Still not sorted my 12. Will do these later. It's just too hot.............Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Right - July's target for me will be 200 items. I'm upping it because I know I have the NCT sale in a week (where I'll be sending in 180 items/ bundles and hopefully selling half....)
To start:
1. Pair of curtains donated to a local worthy cause (being collected this moring)
2. Bag of McD's toys, stickers sheets, colouring books, magazine freebies - donated to a good cause - should be collected later
3. broken game. Paper/ card elements recycled. Batteries taken out for future use
6 ebay items with bids on ending this evening. Have used 100 labels for NCT so far (and will have no probs using the others!!) Not planning on doing much today, though - have got a throat infection which I suspect may develop, so am taking it easy (you can tell I'm not well - it's really hot here and I'm sat here in winter pjs, DH's dressing gown (bigger than mine - full length) and fluffy socks - and I'm debating about heating up some wheat bags to warm me up......)!!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
