Found some more books :( decluttered them in 3 directions :)

    Unwanted LPs to a second-hand store :)

Some clothes and unused trainers to homeless shelter

2 more bin bags of rubbish to the tip

So the 5 shelves in the bedroom are now almost totallly empty - there's about 12 items I am keeping :j:j:j

More stuff to go but I feel so good about what's been done so far. Now I can enjoy the sunshine.

I quite like using them because they're very straightforward. You don't get a lot for your items & they are often a bit slow to pay up - I've had to chase them up a couple of times - but they have always paid up eventually. If I had a high value cd or dvd i'd probably list it on amazon first instead, but for everything else - t's quick and easy & a good way of getting rid of clutter.

Thanks for that! I'll check the cds on amazon first, but I suspect they'll be not a lot on there and slow sellers. Can't persuade DH to get rid of any of his though :-( or DD....

Remember that just because a price is quoted on Amazon doesn't mean it'll sell for that. I've used Amazon to sell for years, and a lot of stuff on there has a ridiculously high price, or there are 60 or so sellers - I'm sending off my first parcel to music magpie tomorrow, after lots of friends have used it - 14 CDs, for £13.33 - thats not much less than I'd probably make from Amazon, and a huge amount less hassle - posting off 14 CDs individually takes a long old time, and this is just a few minutes - plus no having to queue at the post office because of the prepaid postage label they sent.

Otherwise, couple of books decluttered, a dozen or so magazines decluttered, some material boxed up and labelled ready to move. And some packets of food emptied - more decluttering for the move, lol.

Quiet day on the decluttering theme today - think I carried too much yesterday so my appendix op site is hurting today :( Well, I did clear out some papers and they won't be at all heavy to carry downstairs. Am away for work from tomorrow until next Monday so nothing will get done - but I have a clear-by date of 12 July so the last week will be frantic.

Have to say that I feel really positive about it all this time round and a bit gung-ho. Once I see space appear it becomes addictive to keep clearing, chucking and moving things out.

Thanks for the inspiration so far.... I'll be back.

Hope you all get through another small pile today.
