OH going to spend the week at his dad's - his dad is having a biopsy on Wednesday.
Let the decluttering commence!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I've been decluttering away merrily - partly for my own satisfaction, partly because I'm moving house soon, but haven't been posting on this thread - I've been on the housesellers' thread, going frantic at all sorts of things. But popping back here has given me a good laugh - I particularly liked the "pending in" of the kittens about to be born
So this is what I've done this last week:
- 2 ebay sales, 1 amazon, posted yesterday.
- 2 diaries ripped to go into recycling after shredding (confidential work info in them, it takes a while)
- 4 more ebay sales and one amazon sale, to be posted tomorrow.
- double bed offered on freecycle, hopefully it will be collected tomorrow.
- rubbish from the garden being put into the bin - an old armchair, made from four inch wide bamboo, collapsed, and I just stuck it in the garden. But the buyer's conveyancers are very emphatic about rubbish, so into the bin it goes
- 2 bags to the charity shop.
- lots of green waste to the rubbish.
- lots of paper waste into the recycling.
- lots of storecupboard food eaten
- king size duvet cut down to single size (I've lost a king size bed, and gained a single size one) and unwanted remnant binned.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Wardrobe! The couple who collected the bedside chest at the weekend have moved over here for 6 months and needed stuff, so I offered the wardrobe to them as was putting it on freecycle anyway. They're coming to collect on Saturday.
Well they've just been to collect and have changed their mind as one of the doors doesn't shut without a bit of force. Bit annoyed as I did state that the top was slightly warped and it isn't the best quality as was from Argos!
Sadly as my dad is now going to be putting my other one together early next week, I haven't got the space to keep this one hanging around, so I will have to take it apart and take what I can fit in my car to the tip. I would put it on freecycle, but i'll be back at work tomorrow so don't have the time to wait in for people.
Other than that, yesterday I took my clothes and some books to the charity shop.
I also got rid of 30+ bottles of nail varnish that haven't been touched for over 2 years and one cushion and cover has gone to the fabric recycling bank.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Hi Everyone, sorry not been on here for a couple of months but am impressed at all your hard work!
The decluttering had slowed down to just about a halt until I had word that the chaps would be coming soon to spray the loft for woodworm. HAD to tackle the loft and took everything down at the end of last week. Lots of DS1s airfix models that he wanted to keep when we moved here and most of his school books. Luckily he was here over the weekend and binned most of it. I think he was surprised at why he wanted to keep all those models when he was 10, loads of them had bits missing and were very dusty! All the books have gone to the recycling bin and he only kept half a dozen things.
Will do my stuff during the week!!
Hope you are all well, will hopefully be checking back in soon.0
