purplevamp wrote: »:hello: Hi everyone. I haven't been around much recently (well on this thread anyway
) as not much has gone out, and just the usual has come in.
Neighbours are behaving themselves at the moment, but my headaches are still here, so I think I'll have another trip to the doctors as I don't think it is entirely stress headaches.
I've got tomorrow and Thursday off so hoping to do some proper sorting and cleaning. We are seriously thinking of home swapping but I don't want anyone coming round when the place is a tip...and I'll also wait until the schools are back!
Hi pv, this sounds promising and what better motivation to declutter the house. how about making a plan to get the place ready by eg the end of June? :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I can’t believe what I got rid of today! I had an old sunflower spread tub containing about 8/10 old bottles of nail varnish, (some dating back to the 1970’s would you believe?!) For some unknown reason I have held on to them, although most of them have long since gone manky, lol, and today I finally binned them, yay me, v pleased with myself!
Also got rid of a load of bottles of perfume which I don’t use, some went in the charity box, a couple of unused ones will go in for car boot sale and a couple of others which are really old (70s again, lol!) were binned, although I’ve still kept the one that my best friend bought me when we were kids, I don’t use it, but I like to smell it now and then as it brings back some great memories, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with it!
Also got rid of some old ‘el cheapo’ jewellery (charity box), put some empty bottles, paper, and lots of old greeting cards into recycling, and binned lots of random crap.
Pending: Lots of paperwork to be shredded tomorrow, six boxes and about 4 bin bags of stuff for charity shop being collected on Friday, and two EBay items, one with bids and one awaiting payment, to be sent.
Hugs

I have 10 items on ebay and a goal to list another 5 by Saturday night. I'm going to try and use as many of my free 99p listings (limit 100/ month) as possible in June. Most things are teeny tiny in volume (eg: some collectable phone cards) but better that they're gone than hanging around, and any money raised is going towards mortgage overpayments.
I also have 180 labels for the NCT sale in July - not sure I have that many things to sell, but I'm going to try my hardest (and ask kids to sort stuff out - if they get rid of toys they get the money if they sell)

Sue14 ~ with old clumpy nail varnish you can add a few drops of nail varnish remover, replace lid and shake really well to mix.
