    Today's results so far:

    43. broken plastic spade - binned
    44. several broken thin plastic plant pots - bin
    45. 1 broken plastic seed tray - bin
    46. lots of weeds from patio - green garden bin
    47. dessicated onion sets from Spring 2009 (oops!) - composted and packaging binned/ recycled

Did a huge pile of paper shredding today, including all documents relating to my old car which was scrapped over 2 yrs ago, lol! Empty body spray can and newspapers put in recycling.

Had 6 boxes of stuff, and 4 bin bags of clothes, ready to be collected by charity shop collector, told them they had to collect before 12 as I had to leave for work just after 12, no show by the time I left at 12.15, so not collected. Got home tonight and had message on answerphone saying he couldn't come as his van was off the road, message left at 1.15, why not ring in the morning when I was expecting him instead of when they knew I'd be out?! Thought I'd give him a second chance, and called him back to rearrange, woman answered and said (really nastily I thought) 'he doesn't answer his phone after 5!', I didn't like her tone so DP is taking it all to another charity shop tomorrow, and I'll be reluctant to offer them anything in the future!

Got another 2 sales on Ebay, so they'll be going in the next few days, and intending to list loads more stuff on Sunday, as I had an email saying it's free listing on Sunday.

    Hugs
    Sue.

I have an on-going battle with clutter - I am ashamed to even total what I have got rid of over the last couple of weeks! And there is still stuff to go!

Will start anew today - although I am going to a jumble sale this afternoon so the total might go up after that!

OUT - 1 - curtains given away on Freecycle
IN - will total up later!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I started my next bag of items for the charity shop by folding up someclean shop carrier bags that were in the house: I'm ashamed to say I found 6! The local CS is always glad of clean bags & these had held clothing so were ideal. I also put in half my hoarded bubble wrap - without popping any of the bubbles!

Two bookcases to go to the furniture CS today, I did put them on Freecycle, but none of the applicants bothered to collect them: using FOP seems to have this effect! Oh well, the next owner will have to pay to have them & a good cause will gain from it.

Also have to make a trip to the wood skip at the recycling centre with various bits DH has reluctantly admitted are totally unusable & might as well be chipped.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

It helps doing this and the toiletry challenge - which encourages you to use neglected toiletries up before buying any duplicates.

28.29.30.31 all toiletries which were on last knockings, used up instead of gathering dust, sadly packaging not recyclable.

So up to 31 things gone, 17 sadly to the bin, rest recycled/charity shop.
