Morning all, loads of decluttering (and munching!) going on! Will report back later. I achieved 90 things in 7 days, so didn't meet my target of 140 things. But hey it pushed me to get rid of 90 things. Am just deliberating my next declutter challenge.

    :A

I wouldn't worry too much about 'only' decluttering 90 things in 7 days... that's a brilliant result! More than 10 things a day.... And as you say, it's 90 more things gone from your house.

I've come to a standstill recently, but need to get started again. I've been selling a few crafty bits on Ebay but it's sooooooo slow going. I think if none of the current lot sell I'm just going to pack a box full up and give it to my friend from Freegle. She goes to a group at the local hospice and they make cards for fundraising.

Think I'll do another 'get rid of 100 things in 10 days' challenge starting Monday. Want to do it with me? We could compare notes every night!

(That gives me tomorrow to have a good tidy up and get my bum into gear)

  • Not been on for a while, apart from my last message, but not much to report really. There's been more coming in than going out this week I'm afraid, but I'm starting another "100 things in 10 days" challenge Monday, so I'll make a big effort to do that.

Among the things in this week have been:

Few bits of post (that have been opened and been left lying around)
    New patchwork magazine
    Holiday brochure
    Food shopping
    Potty for grandson
New teapot (bought at table top sale for £1.50)
Doulton plates, cups, saucers, bowls & teaplates (also from table top sale, for £5 - bargain)
1 book borrowed by daughter returned

    OUT:
1 black sack of unrecyclable rubbish and 1 sack of recyclable
    1 book given to daughter

    Pending out:
Lots of things that I'm going to find tomorrow!
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

  • I'm in for the 100 things in 10 days - I need to get going again!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • I'm in for the 100 things in 10 days too! Of course the more you declutter the harder it gets - starting to get a bit manic about tiny bits of paper that escapre the bin.....
Mind you - yesterday was grotty weather here (groan - again) so I decided to get the sewing machine out and make a doll for my dgd - a topsy turvey Cinderella - all from fabrics in my considerable stash .... got half way through then sun came out and I thought it a shame to be inside so did an hour in the garden and broke my self imposed rule of PUT IT AWAY - result - this morning the dining room is strewn with sewing stuff, the doll is still 1/2 made and I dont feel good about myself!
    So
    1. Finish doll and put stuff away
    2. Clean kitchen (how come blitzed soup gets EVERYWHERE)
    3. Help OH with household accounts (part of my taking joint control regime)
    4. Run
    5. Cook lovely healthy dinner
    6. Finish sleeves knitting for dgs jumper (its size 2 yrs and he was 2 in October - Oh dear!)
    And thats enough I think
See you all tomz if I get time with my 100 things challenge
    XX MM
    Stay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents

mineallmine first tub out last night has defrosted, have looked and it is and it is Roast beef in gravy phew! So just have to peel potatoes, carrots and prep cauli, make yorky's. Also making a trifle as that is out of date next week, so dinner is sorted.

Right you are on loopychriss, cyclingyorkie, Megs mum. Anyone else wanna join us - muchowing? Anyone else? No pressure just helps to have a goal, makes you a bit more ruthless :D

I think I will: get rid of 100 things in 10 days focusing on certain rooms more than others. For me the kitchen, lounge and master bedroom are the toughest. Clearly if I see clutter in other rooms, it will be dealt with(!) but I must focus on these rooms.

And everyone round to debidoodle's for dinner!

    Hi All

I've very nearly finished de-cluttering but have stalled a bit now

I've still the big cupboard, the loft and the garage to do  I just got a bit overwhelmed with it..... Soo will start again soonish.

Children are now back from their Dad's - DD never noticed the vast reduction in her things - phew ;) and DS's room is better for him with his new drawers and organised toys...

The house feels so much better to me, or am I imagining it :rotfl:however I do feel I need to do a little bit more so may start the 100 things in 10 days challenge..

    EM xx
