Hi All - haven't posted since the beginning of the week - was busy at work then had a terrible migraine for best part of 2 days - emerged from that last night to find that previously tidy house had degenerated into bomb-site. But have to say its only taken half a day to catch up & place looks reasonable again (on the surface).

    IN
New washing-machine (its so wonderful I keep looking for more things to wash - makes me realise that my old one hadn't been up to scratch for a while)
    New toilet seat
    2 DVDs for DS
    adapter for keyboard
    OUT
    Old washing machine
    Old toilet seat
Bag of stuff for charity shop including rucsac of shame (see previous post) & about a dozen plates & cutlery settings that I'd been keeping "just in case"

Managed to drop stuff off at charity shop without buying anything & have subsequently visited no less than 3 charity shops & bought nothing :A

Hi everyone. Nearly the end of the month & still going strong.

Didn't do anything major at home yesterday but did have a good tidy up of my stockroom at the shop, getting rid of lots of old boxes & catalogues.

    IN
Post - mainly dealt with / recycled
New National Trust directory for 2010 - will have to find old one & recycle it
Oldfashioned green glass dressing table set from charity shop. Looks great on my newly decluttered dressing table. Finishes it off nicely.
    New toilet brush

    OUT
    Old toilet brush binned
Post & food packaging recycled into appropriate boxes

Hope you all have a good weekend decluttering.

Had quite a good week, been mindful of getting rid of stuff (sorry, de-cluttering!).
Today has been really good - a girl from work took a single bed, the frame was in the garage taking up space that my new car could be in and the mattress was under my bed so that has doubled my under-bed storage!
    Also freecycled a computer desk.
Feeling quite pleased with myself. Good luck all!

    Hello there
A very busy week here so not a great deal of decluttering done other than the usual bits of junk mail etc
In a wooden puzzle [a pressie from OH's sister and it's of our home town that she found in a charity shop]
    Out: Nowt

Should be a load of stuff going on Sunday as we have several boxes of recycling in the garage to go to the tip and we now have enough for a car full:j

    Hello

Gosh you have all been so busy. I've been off work sick all week which is very unlike me. I have spent most of 3 days in bed and the Doctor checking in on me. DH:A has been a star though and decluttered the CD/DVD cupboard. He has managed to get the ones he wants to keep in our other, nicer, cupboard and today the empty cupboard was taken to his sisters. One empty hallway.

    IN Food shopping (thanks DH:A)

OUT 2 cupboards, box of other stuff, general household rubbish, recycling, dead plant to compost heap.

Hoping to potter around this weekend and fling a few other things.

    Happy decluttering.

    Love Pollys x

Got rid of a big bag of clothes today. I sorted them out last year planning to do a car boot which never happened so when a charity bag was put through the door this week, I thought enough was enough so off they've gone! Still got some books and bits to get rid of, so may take them into town tomorrow.

I'm just about to put some pillows on freecycle, although not sure what people will be like with second hand pillows. I only bought them at the end of last year, but really can't get on with them (they're orthopedic ones and hurt my neck) so bought some new ones this week. The 'old' ones look brand new and have hardly been used as I have been using one that came with the bed, so worth a try I suppose.

I think i'll go through the drawers under my bed tomorrow as even though I did them last year, I never go in them, so what is in them obviously isn't used! I also need to find a suitable chest of drawers for my bedroom, mine are slowly collapsing and i'm tempted to just take them to the tip tomorrow and keep my stuff in a box for now.
