I've also sorted out some bags of toys that were, erm, 'stashed' in my understairs cupboard (old things that DD hasn't missed). So, have thrown a bag of rubbish and put some things to the charity bag.

But I'm now getting down to the piles of children's drawings, holiday mementoes, letters, photos and so on, none of this is in any sort of order. Do you sort this stuff and keep it, or grit teeth and bin it all?
I go through the kids pics and pick the best ones and initial them, then make scrapbooks of all the best pictures, for looking at later. The rest I have to say, gets recycled into paper logs.
I throw old cards away if I feel like it at the time, and I have some keepsake boxes - things like my brothers hair, kids first babygrows & vests, tickets from bands I went to see, special cards & letters, they all get kept in there and live in a cupboard.

Hello Hello Chaps - Made it to Friday without loss of enthusiasm - just! I am 1/2 way through the wallpaper stripping in the d'room and my goodness me there is still so much stuff in there (I am not calling it clutter now but it sure is in the wrong place!) Trouble is I have not got any right places left ... like a whole bookcase full of maps, a trolley of sewing things, a rolled up family tree, binoculars, camera and lenses ... arghh.
Here is my in/out balance from yesterday
In: Veg and fruit
Out: 3 bags of wall paper
kitchen and bathroom bin contents
Manky shampoo and shower gel remnants (yukk)
Pending: sugar flowers from dds wedding cake (they have outlasted the marriage by several years - quietly sobs)
Bookcase from said map collection.
I like the idea of a "Give and Take" beautiful_raven but just make sure you dont take more stuff than you give... ;-)

the wardrobe looks much better for the blitz i gave it and the clothes i got rid of i havent worn for several years. i went through my tights drawer and threw all the snagged/laddered ones away (why had i kept them???) but i do have a whole drawer of tights that are still in their packets. (a combination of the fact i used towork for a hoisery company so got them cheap and last summer a few stalls at the carboots were selling new cheap thights. for the foreseeable future however cheap they are i wont buy untill my stash is massively reduced.
sorting out the toiletery stash (which takes up 2 cupboards and am working my way through that) 've put all like products together adn will use small and started on products first so it goes down quicker. Dont think i'll need to buy toiletries or make up for at least 2 yearsSPC~12 ot 124

Hello all. I've been slipping recently
felt a bit down and wasted a lot of time looking for a job on t'internet and browsing Etsy rather aimlessly. However... I had a huge panic today when I realised that it's nearly the end of January and I hadn't done my tax assessment yet - then couldn't find my P60!
Cleared a bag and a half of papers out of the corner of the living room with no luck and then found the flippin' thing tucked away safely on my chest-of-drawers in the bedroom. But at least I have a nearly 20kg of paper recycling sorted and put away.
