  • I’ve been a bit, well very slack since Tuesday evening although I did do an hour of much needed ironing. We went to a friend’s funeral yesterday so I haven’t really felt in the mood to de-clutter. He was in his 40’s and died suddenly.

Apologies for putting a dampener on the thread, I just feel sad today. :( :(

On a happier note, OH and I are off on holiday at the weekend so thats something to look forward to after whats been a very difficult week...... :)

:D I will declutter my house and debts :D
  • Haven't done much decluttering in other parts of the house this week as I've been concentrating on my craft room. I have sorted out loads of stuff, but it still looks packed to the rafters. I've got about 100 lots to go on Ebay when I can get around to listing it all. I only found out the other day that anything up to 99p is free to list, so I might as well try on there and get a little bit of recompense for all the hundreds of pounds I've spent in the last 5 years.

  • I realise I've got quite a lot of decluttering done now, more than I thought as I did clear some cupboards and drawers last year:j.

But I'm now getting down to the piles of children's drawings, holiday mementoes, letters, photos and so on, none of this is in any sort of order. Do you sort this stuff and keep it, or grit teeth and bin it all? I only look at it when I'm having clearouts, but I do like coming across it

    IN

    just food

    OUT

    bottle of solid nail varnish
    lots of cardboard
    shredded old pay slips

    PENDING

bag of stuff to be dropped of at charity shop

Just checking in - haven't really done much today as I've been sorting through my boxes of gifts and working out what I have and haven't got. I managed to get all my ironing done!

    Will try again tomorrow.

Inaminute - I'm sorry to hear your news and hopefully your holiday will be just what you need - use the time to chill out a bit and take care of yourself.

    Hia,

A bit more of a productive day today. Someone said up earlier about the cycle of seeing something as clutter, thinking oh this must go, then thinking but it cost so much/was a gift, I should keep it - aaaaarrrrggghhh!

14 x toiletries! (mainly used up) (6 packaging recycled, rest binned as non-recyclable)
    1 x bag (I have loads) (charity)
    1 x clothes (charity)
    2 x garden tools (charity)
1 x Old socks (used as cloths, used loads but counting as one item) (used, then binned)
1 x An old timer (charity)
1 x old calculator (have loads) (charity)

    :D 21 items gone, woo-hoo!
