    Evening all,

Not been around. Got rid of :D6 x toiletries (4 used up and packaging recycled, other 2 binned).

Loved one has sorted out a load of DVDs to sell/give to charity. He reckons there are about 50 but I'm not adding that into my target until I've counted them - no cheating!

Off to catch up on the thread and see how I'm going to meet my target of 300 things gone in 30 days!!
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I know....me too....one day at a time, when I fancy it. Don't know where to rendez-vous in the morning now!! Bit dangerous really as I'm easily thrown off-task!!

PS glad you managed to get the wine chilled. Good prioritising there!!
  • hi everyone,

only small steps in the last 2 days but still more going out than coming in - so I call that progress.

Not able to dedicate large chunks of time to this at the moment so aiming to make myself as productive as possible. Sorted some of my desk this afternoon whilst waiting for fax to send (old and very slow machine).

    In
    Post

    Out
    Junk mail to recycle bin
old phone directories, argos, screwfix and other cats
    stuff to charity shop

    Pending
half full bag for the charity shop - will try to make it a full bag tomorrow ;)

A question for all you decluttering experts - do you find it better to try and complete one room or do you butterfly between rooms? At the moment I am just working on what seems to be the worst clutter in each of the rooms.

    many thanks

    Hi FM

Myself personally prefer to complete 1 room at a time, at the moment I am on sick leave so have had more time and have overhauled the bathroom, 3rd bedroom, our bedroom and have started DD's room, understairs cupboard and have moved items into the loft.

    IN

    Post
    Food shopping
£1.00 handwashes, cleansers, facewashes, face oils from Tesco's clearance aisle

    OUT

    Newspapers to recycling
    plastic milk bottles recycling
    veggie peelings to composter
  • I tend to attack one 'spot' per day, whether it be a drawer in the kitchen or a shelf in the bathroom cupboard.

I haven't done much today. I bought some new drawers to store all my makeup in... so spent a little time putting everything into its place. But apart from that I'm no further ahead :o

    In -
    more new underwear
    essential toiletries
    small set of storage drawers

    Out -
changed euros and notes at bureau de change
four parcels to the post office
one scratchcard (claimed a few £s off it)

Lots of stuff pending, including another massive build up of rubbish in the lobby, which needs taking to the recyclign centre.
  • Major triumphs yesterday girls and boys ... gave away old (but working well) radio/CD player to village history centre. And made a start stripping wall paper in dining room (cleared clutter first of course - several boxes previously taken to charity shop) and cleared my head of the eternal loop - Its clutter - I dont like it/use it/need it - its such a waste - it cost lots - it was my parents - but its cluttereing the place up .... Arghhh.
Also lost 1 lb ... only 2 to go until I am at target weight! Woo hoo.
    Still alcohol free in 2010!
Have a great decluttering day. I am finishing d'room stripping but will drop in again to see what everyone else has been up to.
    Stay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents
