Well done bronnie!
I know what you mean - it's annoying how much time it takes just to keep things ticking over!0 -

Hi - Id be happy to take any Euros off your hands depending on how much you have and how much youd like? Little one is doing a project on Europe and can use them for that, and then can take them to Italy with him when we go in the summer.PM if youd like me to take them off your hands....x

Thanks Yorkielass - I had started to do this last year and the majority of it is now in labelled carrier bags ready to be sorted - but still have more to sort through.
Got to do the Trustees Annual Report tonight for submission to the Charities Commission, so will take the opportunity to get that file sorted out at least.
Major area to tackle tonight is the front room coffee table - its filled up with post and junk mail/flyers that have been pushed through the door. Now the recycling box is empty (after waiting 6 weeks for it to be emptied!) I can start filling it up again!
Thanks for the tips.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

I am trying to stop in the hallway and check through the post/flyers etc straight away before putting stuff down in the living room or dining room. We have a recycling bin in each room (we have those plastic Ikea bins, White for Waste, Red for Recycling!) so envelopes, leaflets etc usually end up in the one in the kitchen which helps a lot - I find if they make it upstairs into the living room they get piled up on the settee - one of my clutter spots!
This is good because we then can take these red bins out to the garage when full and empty into the council recycling bins we keep out there rather than having to keep going out with one or two bottles etc.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Litte Vics - tea break over - get to it girl :rotfl:0 -
Last night I sorted all my mystery shopping paperwork ready for filling in my tax return tonight - got a bit messed up with it all and I'm so grateful my main job is PAYE. Nothing in or out with this but tidier :-)
In:
Radio Times
Out:
Leaflets from radio times and bag into recycling.
Pending:
Someone has emailed to say they are interested in the bird feeders I put on the work small ads so hoping to be able to meet her soon and they can go (and I'll get a bit of money too :-))
Aim for tonight, other than tax stuff and aqua aerobics, is to sort all the receipts on my desk into the months they belong to - I've got behind with my accounts/budgeting and my desk is a mess. Once they are all sorted I'll feel better able to make a start.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

12noon update
Hmm! I'm not really clock-watching! I have honestly stuck to this this morning!
Finished the kitchen, cleaned the hob again as the chicken stock boiled over during tea break.
Hoovered and washed floor (big kitchen!!)
Took all rubbish, recycling out.
Washing on
Took decs from behind sofa to study, decided they need reorganising into boxes and will wait for some male assistance to get them in loft to save my time!! So, firmly closed study door.
Bedroom, tidy, strip bed, washing going in next.
Sorted out some toiletries to freecycle/chuck
Hope to have a mini spring clean in there now.
Final update at 1pm when I will be stopping!!0
