I spent most of the afternoon sorting through a huge tupperware box of foreign currency. I'm going to try selling it as bureau de change don't accept coins. I'll be happy if I get half of what it's worth, as it's no good to me!
In today:- nothing!!
Out:- bag of cans and bottles to the recycle bin
- old batteries to recycle box
- 1 bag of rubbish to dustbin
- lots of empty cardboard boxes and paper I'd been hanging onto (recycling village)
- old cd player and mouse (recycling village)
- lots of clothes (recycling village)
- 3x parcels to PO
- 4x pairs old glasses to recycle box at opticians
- euros to be changed to £s
- lots of small foreign coins for the charity box

Thanks Completelylost for reminding me to take a bag of assorted glasses to the opticians when I go on saturday. They have a scheme to send to developing countries (must be terrible not to be able to see properly on top of all your other problems). Had a long conversation with my friend who is the queen of tidy ... she is quite understanding of my dilemmas and last time she came my food cupboard was "gone through" and all the out of date items were binned before you could blink! Anyway - she is coming to stay next month and that will give me the boot up the bum I needed to crank things up and get the d'room redecorated (of course the furniture and floor and surfaces are crammed with stuff which needs to be dealt with first) and the spare room sorted so they can actually get into the bed. Wish me luck! I have the feeling that a binbag-a-day isnt going to cut it and I am going to have be really focussed, drop everything else and go into white tornado mode. Feeling a bit frightened quite frankly.
OUT : 2 bin bags of rubbish
emptied both vaccum cleaners (trying said friends ploy of emptying Dyson daily so you have the challenge of seeing how much you can suck up each day)
IN: NothingStay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents0 -
Right, it's one minute to nine...................please don't tell me it's just me doing this, cos I'm so weak-willed, I'll most likely just take my coffee back to bed (even though I am (amazingly for me at this time) fully-dressed!!0

Bah to weak-willingness! I am going to spend the next 10 mins making coffee and waking up, then 30mins gathering all the paperwork in one place to be sorted. You have no idea what a state this place is in!0
