The Great Declutter Part 2

Great idea Frugal ! a half hour chunk is far more practical for me to do as I seem to achieve a heck of a lot more than plodding around for an afternoon achieving a big fat mega zilch! our bathroom is half decorated ie loo and bath installed but washbasin ,flooring and rest of tiles are in the garden shed and loft!
I have stuff everywhere and am now scrabbling around for a kitchen timer and rubbish bag ready for "the annie song" anthem -on your marks get set go! Good game this!May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -
Your posts have made me laugh as I imagine you flying round like a dervish!! On the other hand, you could be lying back on the sofa typing this with a cuppa and a box of chocs playing online bingo in between posts?? :rotfl:
damn - you got me!!! Quick update - cake is now in oven, kettle is on, and am searching ebay to get competitive prices for some stuff I have to sell. Am putting off doing the study until tomorrow - that's at least a day's work.0 -
Although I’m not keeping a list of ins and outs, it’s still heading the right way. The only thing I’ve bought other than food is a new nightlight which is plugged in neatly and the packaging has been thrown away!
I have also finished the shredding for now (until I start on the attic) although that’s currently sitting in three black bags as I need to remove some compost from the bins before I have room for all the shreddings in there…
A positive from what I’ve done so far though – DH actually VOLUNTARILY tidied the living room at the weekend!!! :T Previously he would have ignored all the mess or shoved everything in the under stairs cupboard if someone turned up, but I guess because there wasn’t much out of place, he realised it was do-able.
The downside is that I thought I’d jump in with the flylady tasks this week in the living room as it is officially decluttered. I got a bit carried away though and decided to wash the light shades too - result, one smashed shade  That will teach me to get ahead of myself.
Thanks as always for the support guys.

OK 9am kick off then (on my only day that I don't have to get up early!!!)
Good incentive to crawl out of my bed and get going - got to have a huge clear out and sell stuff so I can move abroad! What I am keeping will go in the loft until my return in 2011!!!0 -

Thanks Mrs Moneypenny DD1 seems OK - she has been bouncing around all day and asking for food, so I think she will be OK - there's a bug going round at school and fortunately she seems to have had a quite mild version.
At least I got some ironing done!
