The Great Declutter Part 2

My best de-cluttering day so far since joining. I finally got upstairs and de-cluttered & tidied my bed-room & box-room - my bedroom looks so big without loads of washing on every surface - its a lovely room but always the last one I tackle. Put loads of stuff in the loft for the boot sale I plan to do when the weather improves & finally got around to putting the Christmas decorations up there too.
IN
2 hair-brushes (DS has got nits and I'm not taking any chances)
Nit comb
OUT
Loads of rubbish & recycling - most notably:
an old shopping trolley with holes in it &
countless old socks / underpants
returned book & toys to rightful owner
Pending out:
Several items to give to friends identified during todays' marathon de-clutter
2 charity bags
3 outgrown sweatshirts - school
NITS
Thank you for washing machine support & sympathy, have now bitten the bullet & ordered a new one - coming on Weds (connect & collect). Believe me Janebo12 I nearly cried too & I can't even blame pregnancy hormones.
Hugs to everyone who needs them - seems like quite a few people are low at the moment. Agree hug smiley is hilarious :rotfl:Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Out: 2 bags of rubbish, 2 cardigans back to shop for refund, plus a huge bag of CDs to CEX.
Pending out: 2 bags for charity.
In: Mail and 2 ready meals, one of which has already been eaten.
I am spending tomorrow at home, and have finally done ALL my outstanding washing so will tackle the ironing pile and continue with the decluttering.0 -
IN
Tea, Coffee, Wine (1/2 price!) pizza (reduced!) and two bags of Mars planets (naughty little treat although didnt eat both bags, gave one to OH!)
OUT
Sorted through carrier bags (yawn) Despite owning plenty of bags for life I either leave them at home or in the boot of the car normally, so have ended up with lots of cheap plastic bags, very lazy of me. Taking them to Mr T to be recycled.
Sorted out a pile of clothes which i was going to ebay/car boot but to be honest prob wont make much and will be more hassle than worth (clothes listings on ebay take forever, and would have to borrow clothes rail for car boot - last time i had clothes rail at car boot it collapsed on a passerby - oops!) So i have one bag of clothes for charity and another bag of clothes for a friend.November 2018 make £10/day - £21/£300

My decluttering has slowed down - I am another slow declutterer rather than a quick flinger but this is going to be a long job!
Today I am going to sort though a pile of old kids books (I mean Little Bear, Alfie etc) as my youngest DD10 will be DD11 on Tuesday and going to secondary school this year. Unfortunately a lot of the books aren't in good nick - they were well read. I am expecting the kids to get a bit sentimental though - I've tried to get rid of these books before and given up!
Tomorrow I will have another trawl through the videos and DVDs.
My other job for next week is to sort out all the stuff under DD2s bed as there are a lot of toys there which she really doesn't play with any more and she needs the space to store other stuff - she's at that age where the toys go and the technololgy takes over - bit sad but there you go!
I know I'm posting things before I've done them but this is my plan for this week and I need to get going again.
Have a good weekend!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Today I am going to clear a shelf in the utility room. Might not sound much, but junk was placed in the utility when we moved in 14 years ago, other junk has been added as the years have passed. The whole room needs sorting, but one step at a time. Will be back later to tell you how it went (if it went).

hi!!!!! Thank you to all well wishers. Am back home with my gorgeous little girl. Had her Sunday morning, 3360g (can't convert to lbs oz, anyone?)
We're both well, still sore from swelling and stitches but over the moon. I wouldn't have chosen to be induced if I didn't have this terribly itchy rash that covered my whole body. Labour so painful, had to go to theatre in the end to have foceps delivery.
Already have a 5-yr old DS, we've been trying since he was 3 but miscarried at 16 and 19 weeks, both boys.
Definitely not a clutter, but I can see myself bringing in lots of pretty pink girly stuffI may have to withdraw from this challenge
I will still pop in once in a while to see how you all getting on.
Everyone made such a fantastic progress...Well done!!!:T
Meanwhile In: DH been shopping and running errands for me
babyliss you curl
pack of pink babygros
asda shopping
goodies from the bakers
Out:
not a lot - usual rubbish
Will have to be up and about by tuesday as DH got to go back to work.
Thanks guys!!!!!:)
