Went to see mum this morning. I enjoyed the walk and it was strange to see so much snow and very few cars. I took my camera and got some good shots. There was a cat sat in the snow calmly watching the world go past. Mum a bit unwell with a cold and cough. Ive done no flying except take the xmas cards down. I have had a couple of hours sleep this afternoon. I was kept awake by next door in the early hours. The big pane of glass in their porch door is now out to match the bottom pane.. Off to declutter a cuppa now.

Lady L Thinking of you. Special hugs.
    Toots Special hugs too.

Now that is just what I am trying to avoid...:D and not succeeding too well at the moment.

Honestly, looking at what I'm supposed to be teaching this term, I feel as if I've been away for weeks and months rather than ten days... Topic of illness for Year 9 Spanish, very apt as I'm stiff sniffly; Nationality Year 7 Spanish, (most of my three bottom sets have no idea where they live, and the entrenched belief that everyone else in the world either already speaks English or should do, so that should be an interesting concept for them); Family Year 8 French - which means I get to teach not only mother, father etc but also step-parent, foster parent, half sister, etc etc. Oh joy.

I have done no flying at all although DS1 has emptied the airing cupboard. Onto my bed. He hasn't sorted it out yet, but promises that he will.

Okay, cup of tea, then back to work...

Joy oh joy at the Spanish! I start a new job on Monday as deputy head in a primary school and I get to do PPA cover so I'm going to teach French and P.E. to nursery right through to Year 6 - not sure how that's going to go! Am also trying to avoid the Sunday is school work afternoon but is going to be inevitable I think:o

    Plan for today
    1. DW/WM - DONE but not away yet
    2. Kitchen surfaces - Keep doing and re-doing and re-doing
    3.Table -DONE
    4. Porch
    5. Car
    6. School work - started but nowhere near finished
    7. Wii fit - DONE
    8. Cross stitch
    9. DOCTOR WHO - nearly time

Can't believe it's the first day of a new decade and I'm stil doing flippin school work grrrrrrr - this is the year I get sorted and stop this rubbish

... now, do I put it towards the garden... or spend it on something more exciting... jewellery maybe? or a picture?

I've made a deal with myself about the kenwood... I can get one when I have enough space for it in the utility room. So realistically that won't be until the new shed is in place (which given the speed at which both the landscaper and my builder move, will be in about 2020!)... maybe I should just move house.

garden every time for me :D Do you want to commission a dove cote or a bespoke black smithed sculpture by any chance? If so I know a man who can! Just needs to finish my stuff first :p

There isn't really room in my garden... it isn't quite as big as yours

Same for me re the Kenwood. I want one so very much but I have nowhere to put it and quite honestly cannot justify it when we need so many other things.

WM is on a cleaning cycle, TD has childrens bedding in. I will get this place straight before I go back to work next week .

Dusty - I just sprayed my computer screen with red wine. Pest :rotfl:

I should have room once the garden is done and the new (and highly organised!) shed is in... mind you, when I did the utility room I hadn't started cake-decorating, so didn't realise I'd need room for all the stuff for that too . It should all be able to go in the utility if I can move all my bulk cleaning stuff into the shed...

Progress is being made albeit very, very, very slowly!

Hi everyone! We've had quite a good day - Mr Rosepink went round and sprayed the mold although he hasn't wiped it off but things look better already. I've done some shredding (a great big bag full, had to stop when shredder needed a rest and refused to shred anymore) and tidying, and he did tidying without me even asking! WOW!
He's cooking a delicious smelling roast lamb now for our dinner. And I'm dossing about! LOL!

Hope you have all had a nice day, I wll go and catch up now.

There's a brilliant mflresources group on Yahoo, and I think there's a primary version too.

Apologies if you're a languages specialist anyway, you didn't say! Congratulations and Good Luck with the new post!

courgette - pigpen sometimes gives us a weekend list, sometimes not. There will be a new Thread posted on Sunday evening, and the daily list will be in the first post.

pps, another teacher! Are we a generally disorganised profession at home then?? Because we're so fabulously planned and organised at work???

Courgette - the optional list was Friday's list this week, as some people didn't want a NYD list ;) Whether we get a weekend list or not depends on piggers... those with school to think about find them useful. Others of us are usually catching up on the weekday stuff :o

Make sure you make it clear when you've completed a day, so toots can award you your stars. You'll see from Jinky's post that it's acceptable to shout about your successes :p:p... no point in hiding them is there?

Must drag myself away to do something useful...
