LAST LIST OF
:happylove.....2009..... :happylove

Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!

Ok here goes this week!

    (Thanks soappie xx)

    1. You don't have to complete the daily list on the same day to get your star but try and do some in the week to give yourselves more free time at the weekend
    2. You must do levels 1,2 and 3 to get a star but remember the 'extras' are extras and don't count towards the stars!
    3. Please make it obvious when you have finished a list so that I know you need a star - for example Monday Done! make sure I can see it!!!!!!
    4. If you dont have something on the list then it gets deleted - e.g. clean out pets - if no pets no cleaning out done - delete!
    5. Similarly when it says childrens rooms then you should substitute spare room/utility room/conservatory...etc if you have no childrens rooms.
    6. If you have no spare room or any other room not on the weekly list then make sure you do any thing thats on that list that you haven't already done earlier in the week and try to substiture similar type jobs - make an effort please!!
    7. You should not be deleting stuff just because you CBA!!
    8. You may delete stuff if you are not physically fit to do something!
    9. And for goodness sake remember that the stars are for FUN - there will be no discrimination - no sulking - no striking - no bribing- no cheating - or there will be no stars!!! so there!!

Last week there were a 121 stars awarded with 11 flyers doing all five days lists. Well done everyone! That means 121 rooms across the country were cleaned and sparkling this week.
    w/c 21/12 - 121 (11)
    w/c 14/12 - 134 (11)
    w/c 07/12 - 146 (15)

    w/c 27/7 - 120 (5)(worst ever!!)
    w/c 06/4 - 202 (21) (new total to beat)

Ok everybody its the last week of the year SO LETS TRY AND GET THE HOUSE ALL SPARKLY for the New Year!!!

I'm in... my kitchen is the least scary room (if I ignore the laundry and the "waiting for the bins to be emptied non-food rubbish" box :o ) plus I can clean my new microwave out :D:j:j

Lets see where I can start from...
Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level One
    Declutter and wipe those worksurfaces
Sweep and [STRIKE]mop [/STRIKE] SCRUB the floor
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Put away the special crockery/glasses you got out for christmas[/STRIKE]
    Clean [STRIKE]the hob[/STRIKE] and oven
[STRIKE]Clean out the fridge.. make a note of the lovelies you bought for christmas and have not yet eaten.. work it into a meal plan[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Make stock/stew from leftovers[/STRIKE] There is none :D
    Level Three
Clean and wipe the table, replace the cloth if necessary
Clean out the drawers which house the cutlery and the big utensils (ladles and such like!).. I just noticed mine are gross!
    Dust and deweb
Wipe over the units and large appliances
    Extras
wash windows - can only do inside as my backdoor is swollen shut again. No going outside that way until we have at least 2 weeks of dry or warmer weather
Scrub the sink and polish the taps
Scrub down any tiles that are looking icky
Wipe over all the small appliances

    Personal list :
Ironing - for the length of casualty. The rest can then wait until the next batch or programme ;)
    Gifts to be put upstairs.
    Laundry

Right, I'll write that out on my pad ready for tomorrow morning. ;)

    thanks Pigpen,Toots & Soappie.
