    Hey, congratulations :T

The beginning of my demise into "overweight" territory from "a bit flabby" was when my wife and I were forced to give up Latin American and Ballroom dancing. Child number 1 arrived and those weekday evening lessons just weren't possible anymore. She nagged me for 2 years before I agreed and I absolutely loved it, the most fun I have ever had involving excercise my far. We did it for 8 years, twice a week at some times, starting long before strictly come dancing was on telly.
Anyone tried a full speed quickstep for 3 minutes?
It's very nearly running but a real buzz when your good enough to keep up and more or less do the steps right. Out of breath and all smiles when your done. We were doing it a year or so before we got to that standard and had the proper shoes by then.
Cannot recommend this highly enough, go bug your other halves to go with you or talk a friend into joining you for line dancing which we did a bit of on the side.
We still do Jive at weddings and such now, not as good as we used to be but we still get compliments

Anyone living south Hampshire within reach of Romsey interested and I'll put you in touch with our teacher if I can.

Sadly my OH would not go to a dance class with me and believe me I have asked him many times. :( I love dancing so much.

mumofgirls, so sorry to hear about your MIL, it must be very hard on you so don't feel guilty about what you've been eating xoxo

I got on the scales this morning for a sneaky pre-weekend WI and have lost another 1lb so that takes me to 135.6lbs! :) It's given me a little kick up the bum and hopefully will motivate me to last the weekend and start February lighter!

Anyone got any recommendations for vegetarian low calorie meals in Chinese restaurants - (other than steamed vegetables which I don't think I can face see below)

Chinese food has such an awful connotation for me that I haven't really eaten it in over 10 years ... Can't change the venue though for tomorrow so I'm going to have to eat it!

Like you tara, I weighed myself this morning (noone was at the chemist so I weighed myself there so I could find out exactly how tall I am too) and it really gave me a kick and has motivated me even more to "be good". I have lost 2.4 lbs so the total for January is 3.4 lbs; quite a way off the suggested 7llb but I wasn´t very good the first week of the month as I ate quite a few leftover chocolates from Christmas.

I have been eating quite a lot of jelly and have been putting fruit in it and that is helping me to induge my sweet tooth without too many extra calories.

Have a good day everyone and thanks for posting the new thread for February Dragon.

What a horrible situation - I'm not surprised that the diet has gone to the dogs. I should think it is the last thing on your mind.
