    Hi everyone
Lost 0.5lb this week. Very small but considering the week I had I'm pleased with any loss (why are some work colleagues sooooooooo nasty). Anyway, today's a new day and my week got off to a better week yesterday. Can't eat until mid-day as I've got a cholesterol check late morning and got to fast beforehand so not even a cup of tea, which I'm absolutely desperate for. Got a jacket potato, low fat cheese and salad for lunch.

Good luck everyone. The weight losses are just amazing. And for those who are struggling (like me) let's hang on in..... we can do it! :)

brekkie today is coffee! lunch will be baked potato and beans, dinner not sure about going to do my weekly shop but off to ikea and braehead shopping tonight so will be late home, i really dont want to eat out as oh is treating me to TGI's on Fri night and I am so looking forward to it, I love their Jack Daniels glaze but I seen this in Asda a few weeks ago and nearly dropped the bottle at the contents:D

Agree with the others I'm afraid: having just coffee is no good...even having an apple with it would be better than nothing else.

    Well done everyone!

I was feeling a little discouraged as I don't feel I have lost a great deal but this morning I noticed a real difference in the way my suit fitted :).

Just as well really as I need the motivation - I have yet another corporate lunch to attend and it is at a very nice restaurant. Hope they have some decent salads.

    Hi gang.

Not much to report this week - I'm not feeling great so have just been plodding along as usual. Went swimming last night though so at least I'm making myself do some exercise :)
  • Morning all, sorry I had to run yesterday!

Just wanted to add that I've decided that i'm going to go swimming on a monday afternoon while DS is at nursery :D. I don't seem to manage to get there on a Saturday with DD anymore as she goes with friends on a friday night. Sometimes I do take DS for the mum and toddler session, but he hang's on me as he's still not sure of water yet, so I don't get much exercise from it. so i'm really looking forward to it, and it will help no end! They have the same scales there as the one in the chemist that I use, so might switch to using them while i'm there!

Anyway, have a good day all, off now to put a couple of eggs on and get DS's lunch and then get him to nursery :)

    + another one.

Large nearly overflowing bowl of porridge and real coffee for breakfast for me every week day. Porridge with 1 part semi-skimemd milk and 2 parts water with 1 part oats. 1 "part" is about half a tea mug or 1/4 of a pint.
    Under 200 calories.
Top it up with 150-200 calories worth of a thick soup (whole can) plus 2 slices or 200 calories worth of bread at about 1pm (followed by more real coffee :o) and this keeps me going until dinner time at about 8pm. No snacking required though I do sometimes have an apple or bananna at about 4pm just to get enough calories into my day, not because I'm hungry.
When I get home I've had about 600-700 calories in the day which means I've got to eat another 800-900 if loosing weight or 1200+ if maintaining. Plenty of room there for a decent evening meal each day, a few beers and a naughty take away in the week :)

LOL, we're trying to help, not attack you. TBHY, Toast/cerel often don't sustain me. I recommend porridge too. I make mine with skimmed milk, and usually add some fruit, or fruit puree, some times some spices: cardomon/nutmeg/cinnamon. If you need a further sweet kick you can budget in some honey (excellent for health IMO) or Splenda. DH is big kid and has his porridge with brown sugar and cream...not diet friendly but he maintains on that.

lol I know, I have just been doing so well and feel as if I have messed it up this week, I was just boasting to oh that I got a size 14 jumper on this morn wich has been in drawer for about a year, looked at the label and it is actually a 12:p I think its a big 12 heehee but has given me a boost that I think I needed.
Thanks everyone for advice, is there anything other than porridge, I have never liked it but gran used to make us eat it when we were little lol. It needs to be something I can make quick as time in the mornings is in short supply:D

Sorry, got a bit carried away earlier :o:rotfl:
Couple of weetabix or a mix of 1 weetabix plus some shreddies and or bran flakes also does the trick for me. For me better than toast for keeping appetite satisfied.
