Are you near where your picture is of? If so you'd be welcome on a dog walk with me ;) I could bring them over there for a nice ''level'' walk IYSWIM.

Sort of. Live about 10 miles south of Bath and work in Taunton now. Glastonbury is about 30 mins from each.

This week's weigh in - I have lost 1 lb. Perhaps I'd better go back to the crisps, chocolate and alcohol diet!

Out of curiosity how is everyone going about losing there weight i know bramble and a few others are doing WW ( im sorta following the WW idea myself but more of a low fat & low sugar as DH is a diabetic) is anyone doing the more extreme diets like slimfast? and how do they find it

I've done WW for years now and although I know it works for me I'm a bit bored of it. I've recently tried calorie counting which has been good because it's given me a fresh outlook and perspective on the food I'm eating. So some days I'm counting WW points, whilst other days it's calories :rotfl: I'm exercising (class, gym or DVD) three times per week, plus trying to move a bit quicker around the house and put more effort into the housework

A big well done to all those who have lost weight or stayed the same :A and :kisses3: to those who need it.

I'm not looking forward to the weigh in on Wednesday. I only seem to have lost 1/2 pound so far, only 2 days left to go. I'll be really miffed if I don't loose at least a whole pound. I have eaten some naughty food but it still came under 1200 cals each day, most days it's under 1000. I have a small frame and am only 5ft 2 1/2 (the 1/2 is VERY important lol!) I also don't do much physically and have eaten when I'm hungry. I'm counting calories and protein and making sure I get my 5 a day. I'm taking zinc, B vitamins, echinecia, omega oil, milk thistle, water balance and vitamin c as an additional measure towards being healthier this year.

I had really pleasing losses for 2weeks and now seem to be stopping. What can I do to kick it back off again, I have heard that sometimes you need to change things up a bit, any thoughts?

Thanks for the chapatti tip,I love them and I was horrified to see how many cals in a tortilla wrap!

You need to be eating at least 1200 calories a day, it's the minimum a woman needs to eat for her body just to function. Eating too little will stall weight loss as well.

I'm sure you know all this, but it's unhealthy to eat under 1000 calories day, just as unhealthy as eating too many.

2 years ago when i lost 2 stone the first time round i did it purely using the calorie count site and upping my exercise, but this time round i just couldn't get the motivation, i would just guestimate the calories and needed to try something new so turned to WW!

That is what I thought too, but when looking at the website and putting in my frame, height, current weight and activity levels it said that I'd need to eat less than that to loose weight. Is there a definitive guide to how many calories to eat for your body type? I really want to loose weight properly with a healthy diet but am confused about the conflicting information out there.

Also don't expect the weight loss to be at a constant rate, certainly not week to week but not month to month either. Some months you might not loose anything at all.
Changing excercise routine or upping the calories for a while then reducign again can help get you off a plateaux if that is where you are.
