1lb lost this week - managed 1 swim, not as many as I wanted but better than nothing. Going for a walk then coming back and doing some vigorous housework.

Can' t believe how good I was last night. We went to a 21st birthday dance and I only had some fruit from the buffet - even better I managed to avoid the wine entirely and only drank water all night :D

You haven't added to the 4 pound you lost jack that the main thing, and they say the slower you lose the weight the easier to keep it off, i've been having a read of the Cambridge diet thread since rolypud said she was having a bash at it, but i cant see how that would work long term.

Out of curiosity how is everyone going about losing there weight i know bramble and a few others are doing WW ( im sorta following the WW idea myself but more of a low fat & low sugar as DH is a diabetic) is anyone doing the more extreme diets like slimfast? and how do they find it

Todays (i love sundays) food was veggie sausage, egg &beans 2 toast for breckie, roast for dinner (sweet pots instead of normal roast pots) supper will be soup if DH wants it, i find my big sunday breckie and a roast is enough for me.
Tea break over id best get back to the painting.

    Have a great day everyone

I don't follow a diet plan, but I do calorie and fat count. I'm been on a restricted diet for 7 years now: and always expect to be, so its important to me to make it ''normal'' not a yoyo situation. :)

I just...eat less than I do, or try to. I generally balance it over a day, but also know there are days when thts impossible, so there are times I balance over 2 or three days, exercise and food. :)

After joining weightwatchers last week I lost 2.5 pounds so at last my blubber is starting to move!!
Still sticking to the treadmill at least for half hour a day and I am starting to feel a little fitter.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't been around, I weighed myself last weekend and found I had put weight on (not surprising as I had been having some difficult food cravings and none of them were low calorie :o) Needless to say I felt ashamed and very embarrassed and so hid whilst I gave myself a good talking to.

So, to this weekend and when I weighed myself I have lost 4 1/2lb. Add on the 1 1/4lb I gained last week, makes a grand total of 3 1/4lb lost. Hope that makes sense.

Anyway, I now feel a lot more positive so hopefully there will be no more hiccups!

    evening
I've had a very productive weekend - I've done, in total, 8hrs of walking this weekend :D if I don't shift 1 more pound to give me my stone this month I will have to ask myself why.....
In response to the post before asking how we're trying to shift the flub.. I'm calorie counting. I have to. I've tried weight watchers, slimming world., gillain Mckeith and none of them have worked. I just have to be disciplined (sp?) - not the easiest thing in the world. Just ask the OH, and my local boots staff :D These £5 off No7 vouchers are definitely my downfall this month.
    take care peeps

I'm vaguely calorie counting, combined with stepping up the exercise to tone up the wobbly bits! Each to their own as far as diets go, but the more extreme ones frankly scare me a little. I need to train myself to eat less and eat more healthily, both in order to lose the weight in the first place and then to maintain once I've lost it.

Just about to tuck into mushroom and courgette risotto, yum yum!

You are all doing great, peeps! Amanita - massive well done for being sooo restrained at the 21st party!! :T

Thanks for all the kind words, I am just feeling a bit down about my weight at the mo. But it is my own fault and only I can do something about it. I have done ok today, can't WI tomorrow as I am staying at mum's tonight so will do it on Tuesday morning. So that gives me another day to be good! I need to start contributing to this 11 stone combined loss!!!
