    Morning all

    Hope everyone is well

Im going to be suffering from man flu this week, Dh can be such a big girls blouse at times, Im assuming after he polished off the banana cake last night in a (i need something nice im soooo poorly)mood, that his "im not on a diet just healthy eating" is out until he feels better.
I also finally gutted DS3 room very much the outdoor lad, emptying his pockets for the wash is scary enough (fishing hooks) but you take your life in your own hands in his bedroom, i swear he strategically places Lego bricks so you can't get in or out without standing on at least one. i should invest in some hob nail boots.

food today is toast for breckie, jacket potato&beans for lunch, low fat colly cheese, veggie sausages, peas&sweetcorn for dinner

    Have a good day!

    Morning
Well my weigh in was steady - no loss, but no gain but then again it was my TOTM toward the end of last week so I won't register a loss (if any) until next Monday as my time will be over by then.
However healthy eating still going strong, walking around randomly in my lunch hr is still going well and I am investing in the new Ministry of Sound exercise DVD at the weekend :D OH says he'll 'watch' it with me - I'll have to lock him in his games room I think!
    Smile!

I have the book of the series upstairs - I will have a look later and see if I can find the recipe for you

I managed to find all episodes of the TV series available for download but it would take me a while to organise getting hold of them.
If it's in a book even better!

Morning all! Hope everyone is well today.

samace83, STS is better than gaining as you say!! Walking is good and every little helps.

tori.k, men are such wimps aren't they!! And your DS should be tidying his own room, then he might not be so careless with the lego lol!!

I'm doing ok today, started on porridge but it was too thick (not enough milk & water) and I CBA to go back to the microwave and redo it, so am having a Muller Light. Prob not the most substantial breakfast but hey. I am also going for the full 2 hours walking today, here's to a good day!!

    Catch you later...

  • QUOTE FROM TARA747 "I slipped off the wagon (already, I hear you say!!!) by having a few Rolos just now... but I stopped and mentally slapped myself. They are now safely in the bin, I even took them out of the packet so they are all mixed in with the rubbish and I won't be tempted to retrieve them! "

I AM PROUD OF YOU FOR DOING THAT! WAY TO GO!

    Woo, well done tara!

sam, you sound really positive and quite disgustingly healthy :rotfl: If I can force myself out of bed at 7am tomorrow I'm going swimming. My exercise levels over the winter have been atrocious!

The volunteers are all just old and cantankerous. I try not to let them get to me but when I'm having a bad day I lose all patience with them. I wasn't actively rude back to them, I just went home and cried :o But I didn't comfort eat so I'm quite pleased with myself.

Oh you sweet thing, there is no need to cry, but I hope it made you feel better. You have done so incredibly well, I feel quite proud of you you know. You are one of those who seriously inspires me, and I'm getting quite cross with your volunteers on your behalf.

Exercise has been hard. For me walking is the best option, because I have other problems, (which are getting dramatically better too!) and I can't do too much, but I can walk as much as I like, but we live on a hill and the ice has meant that while I could probably get down, getting back home would be pretty near impossible (DH was doing a cartoon run on th ice on the hill over the holidays: running but staying on the spot, funny, but in realtiy scary!).

ETA: I have been doing squats and sit ups, but I'm really aware that my leg muscles are geting quite huge. My calf muscles, which used to be really svelte, have got huge. Partly from carrying me around and partly because a recently resolved symptom of my health problem was that the nerves in my legs were ''firing'' all the time, so my calves were working out LL the time. They are now HUGE and I'm aware that lmost every exercise I do is making them bigger/maintaining them, and this really worries me.

I'd relly like to do an aquaaerobics class but I'm too embarrassed. I wish I had a friend locally to go with.

Hi everyone, some really great losses, well done!!

I'm hoping for a good one tomorrow - this is my first proper week as last week I changed from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning weigh in.

Some recent discoveries- Quark soft cheese - very low cal and cheap too (not tried it yet but will report back)
Tofu - low cal good protein source - finally managed to find this in Sainsburys, I've had it before and not really liked the texture but I'm going to try a recipe with it. If it's any good I'll share!

I'm going to aerobics this evening for the first time ever, hope I can keep up, I have really low stamina. Going with some friends so should be fun.

DS has potty trained himself this week so I've been busy watching him like a hawk just in case!

Please do. I have yet to find a recipe that makes the stuff edible.

It is possible as I had it once in a Thai restaurant and it was delicious. Only that once though!!

I don't dislike tofu, unless its smoked or pretending to be something else.
