Yeah, Alex, i figure 15days of not buying lunches is a pair of shoes saved up for..meaning i dont use my bills money! at £3 ish a day for lunch thts £45! a meal out..yikeS!

And we know how much you love your shoes :D

Bramble, don't worry about it too much. If it's a stay-the-same week or a slight gain then it just means you'll lose even more at the next weigh in!

Well done Drea & Sam :T

    Morning all

Hope everybody is well, and congrats to all those that have lost so far.

Hubby got a surprise too, altho as far as he's concerned he not on a diet just eating healthy (i wont tell him if you dont) he's been eating the same as me and has lost 7lbs. He is diabetic (T2) and his blood sugar's havent been this low in years, not surprisingly he did suggest going out for a meal to celebrate (he's a man after all)

Food today is museli for breckie, soup for lunch, stirfry & quorn fillets for tea.
exercise is a hike with the dog (before 12) expectin heavy snow and to finish painting our bedroom, decided like me the house could do with a freshin up.

    have a good day everyone

out of curiosity did anyone watch that programme on more 4 last night, the diets that time forgot, they had 3 groups of people doing diets from 3 different periods in time, 1 guy lost 10lbs in 4 days and i think all but one person had a loss of 3lbs at least was very interesting

  • Only 1lb loss for me. :(

It's my own fault, I went out to eat on Friday night and then invited to friends for a takeaway on saturday. I tried to minimalise the damage by only drinking water but it didn't do much good.

I then had a smear test yesterday and consoled myself by eating crap for the rest of the day.

It can only get better.

Lizzie Dripping - 1lb loss is great :) - I'd be happy with that this week. Especially as you've eaten out and had a takeaway too :) Don't beat yourself over what you've already eaten, today is a fresh start.

Overall, I had a good day yesterday, although I did succumb to a few (OK, 10 actually) Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers last night  I should have known it was a bad idea to buy some as a treat for the children, especially as they were on BOGOF! Today's off to a good start - porridge for breakfast, low-fat yogurt snack just now, lunch will probably be pasta salad, then reduced fat sausages, mash, heaps of veg for dinner. I've been to a spinning class this morning, then visited the gym afterwards to do 15 mins weights for my upper body.

I keep promising myself that if I stay on track for a week then I'll treat myself to something, but I never seem to make the whole week without a slip-up, then I don't get my treat :( I'm going to try a different approach, treating myself every few days instead, just a small treat like a soak in the bath or a magazine.

Does anyone here weigh themselves on a Wii-fit? I haven't owned scales for years because I tend to get obsessed, weighing myself perhaps 4 or 5 times per day! I weigh myself now on the Wii-fit every week or so, but I've heard somewhere that they're not very reliable as a weighing device - is that true?

I'm still waiting to hear if DH's appeal against his redundancy was successful or not, but hopefully he should be notified in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I'm trying not to get too stressed about it, because I do comfort eat when under stress.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

    Nicky
