should be at work today, but kids school closed, so i'm having to have snow day too!
Walked to local tesco this morning for a loaf of bread, with kids, and on way ds starts to make a snowball, which grows, and grows as we travel slowly back...
Now the way back is all uphill, not a long distance, but it's UP. DS snowball has now become a boulder, and he needs it home to make into snowman......yes, you've got it..he can't push the damn thing any more, so I send the best part of 30 minutes hoiking the thing up the road, of course as it is rolling,it's growing......I must love him, I think!
I did eventually get it home, after MUCH effort, and decided that I needn't do wii fit today after that! ....but dd, bless her made me a cuppa when i finally got in, and i scoffed 3 choccy biccies with it...aaaargh!
Anyway, now have a magnificent snowman in the back, my back aches, and my son is very happy! What a shame that for all that effort, I prob only burned about 50 kcals knwing my luck, and the biccies were about 220!!!!!! oh well......
hope everyone's well.

coco1980, best of luck with getting the job and keep us posted!
I am so munchy this afternoon!!! I had nice healthy porridge for breakfast and HM veg soup for lunch, but have also had several plums (good) and 2 choccie biccies (bad). Still, managed not to have bread with the soup so that's saved a few calories. I'm cooking a healthy dinner and going for a walk tonight, come what may!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I've not been doing too badly, I'm working on the principle that no food is forbidden - I just have to decide if I really, really want it or not.
I was given some chocolates yesterday as a late Christmas present that I donated to the kids but did have a bit of stilton, crackers and a few grapes as a snack. I enjoyed every morsel of it!
Get a fantastic Monsoon wrap dress in the charity shop today :T - our charity shop doesn't often have nice stuff in larger sizes so I wasn't going to let this little bargain slip away!
I'm going to watch that diet programme later and try not to shout at the screen like I did with the one on Tuesday about overweight kids. :mad:0 -
Welcome xxvickiexx and Drea2904 (I'll pop off and add you to the first post in a minute!)
I worked out my weight loss (granted different scales but supposedly calibrated and was on lino not carpet) and I have lost (drum roll please) 5 pounds! Only another 7 pounds to hit my first goal of registering on the home scales again

Well done The dragon :T and all thing's crossed for you coco
I just watched that big fat diet onthe iplayer even tho id promised myself i wouldn't..the only good thing about the whole show was the fact 45mins has gone and i havent reached for the hob nobs.
as someone who has yo-yo dieted for years i really detest shows like these, why dont they just do it as a cooking show where they Make-over all your favourite recipes into low fat/sugar/carb ones.
Actually i will offer up a challenge to anyone interested this is one of my favourite recipes i also add mushroom's to mine (you gotta love a fungi)
is high in sat fat due to the butter, cream and cheese anyone think they can make it lower in fat without losing the taste
Noodles Alfredo
8 oz. (about 4 cups) cooked egg noodles
1/2 cup butter
½ cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
salt and pepper to taste0 -
Well done Dragon :T0
