I have waivered round for ages and feel I need to join in for moral support and committment. I have 21 pounds to loose and if I dont join now there will always be another excuse not to start the diet.0 -

I'm also taking my mother shopping later, and I know we'll take a gander at clothes in the sales, and I don't know what to do....I could do with some new clothes now, but don't want to buy for this size, I don't know how ling it will take to go down through sizes.....I think I migt buy things that will look ok belted for baggier wear on ''the way down....'' but feels a litle wasteful.
:T
I'd say bite the bullet and buy a few new things in your new size. I held off buying new stuff for ages, thinking that it was a bit pointless cos they wouldn't fit soon if I kept losing weight, but I'm so glad I finally did buy some new stuff. It's only then that you really realise how much you've actually lost (if you know what I mean!)0 -

I weighed in this morning for the first time this year... 136.7lbs!!!! So I am now 1.1lbs heavier than when I started on these threads back in Feb 2009.
I'm not surprised tbh, I did eat a fair bit over Christmas and I have also been very, ahem, sluggish in the digestive department - so am feeling very bloated. Maybe that means I will lose lots in a week! Hmm, think that might be a tad over optimistic.
Anyway, I am away to get annoyed at myself and work out a plan of action. Here's to less of us all in 2009!!!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Hello all! Glad to see so many newbies joining our little family. The more the merrier!
I managed to get into town this morning and weigh myself and it was not a 'good' moment by any means! I knew that I would have put on and I am not surprised when the scales groaned and said that i'd put on 7Lb's!. I'm not too despondent as i've done well upto now and feel like I 'deserved' a break. So now that xmas is over I plan to go back to the way I was eating and hopefully the gained weight should drop right back off (that's my theory anyway).
So January's 7lb challenge should hopefully see a loss of more than 7lb - if i'm lucky and get back in the swing of it!
My plan is to do more swimming, walking, and less driving, eating & couch potatoe-ing!! :rotfl:
Day one so far so good, Took DS to school, and DD and me went into town shopping, and spent the entire morning there before picking up DS and returning home at 12.30. Managed to get a couple of tops in the sale for £9 and £1 in a size 20/22 -just hopeing they fit, if not I will keep them until they do!
So that's 4 hours of exercise. Am back to work tonight also, so that will be another 2 hours, so i'm off to a good start! Just got to think of something for dinner, got leftover bacon so thinking of putting it in an omelette with some onion, cheese and tomatoe? not 100% sure yet anyway, we'll see!
Anyway's Have a good day all, will be keeping my eye on the thread for any good tips and recipes.
Posh xx
ps -DRAGON please add my starting weight of 19st 2lbs to the 1st thread. Many thanks.:money::money::money::money:

Happy New Year all.
Blimey, I check in 4 days into the month and we have 65 "members" and 13 pages of posts
Had a quick skim read through to catch up.
Well I surveyed the December damage last night and I gained 4lbs last month
I excercised some restraint, couldn't eat the size of Christmas dinner I did last year so my stomach must have shrunk but I do know where those 4lbs came from. Extra wine, beer, deserts of all sorts, father-in-laws cooked breakfast 5 days in a row....:o
So please add me to the weight "loosers list" for this month, aiming to get rid of those extra 4 lbs and regain my weight maintainer status by February0
