    Hi everyone,
I am going to start some swimming tomorrow and now the kids are back to school/college I am starting my treadmill. Aiming for 1500 cals like curlytop as I tend to be too starving on any less and at least 30 mins per day on treadmill.
I know it is commonly said about new years resolutions failing etc but I am actually really excited about the diet this time and am so determined to see it thru.
    Good luck to everyone xx:D

I'm sticking with the same routine as normal as it's worked well so far - keep the calories lowish (I don't count them religiously so it tends to work out as between 1000 and 1300ish a day) and try and exercise more. This has fallen by the wayside a wee bit since the clocks went back and I can't walk after work but now I've lost enough not to feel mortified of wearing a swimming costume I am hoping to start swimming again fairly soon :)

    Good luck coco!

    Dumb question alert :o

I didn't know you could freeze grapes or strawberries? Do you literally just freeze them as they are?

You can freeze them as long as you plan to eat them frozen, they don't defrost well at all just turn to mush.

On the subject of frozen things my Mum used to freeze muller light yogs (particularly the choc ones) and eat then frozen (Take practically the whole evening to eat!):D

I haven't read the thread since last post, will pop back in an hour or s to do that, but just adto sharethat I've gone done a bra cup size! I'm ridiculous ly excited!

I'm also taking my mother shopping later, and I know we'll take a gander at clothes in the sales, and I don't know what to do....I could do with some new clothes now, but don't want to buy for this size, I don't know how ling it will take to go down through sizes.....I think I migt buy things that will look ok belted for baggier wear on ''the way down....'' but feels a litle wasteful.
  • I am going back to what I was doing last year that is eating good foods but limiting the quantity everything has to be home cooked and having a small treat each day.

Am hoping to be back exercising in the next week after burning my legs over christmas so will start back gently!!!

Having a goal date last year really helped me focus but I kind of lost my way afterwards hence the gain back in some of the weight.

I thought I would add to the freezing discussion break a curly wurly into sections then freeze it, it takes ages to eat!!!!!!!
    Target weight:

    10 stone (1/1/2010 21 lbs to target)

    25 lbs lost 2009 :D

    Im good coco thanks,

Well the kids are off back to school so its just me and the dog today so we are venturing out on our first run in a bit, and i plan to deep clean the lounge (and the dog) this afternoon, i admire those that have the discipline for the gym i fall very short there, i think as long as i feel i can choose what to eat and when to exercise i tend to stick to it better, rather then ive paid all this money for the gym so i have to use it. i know that really doesnt make much sense but welcome to tori's simple world :)

food today is Muesli for breckie, veg soup and brown roll for lunch. spanish omelette and salad for tea, and baked apple for pudding ive had a craving for apple pie so that will hopefully do instead.
Im also doing a quorn mince cottage pie for tomorrows tea.

Coco have you tried cutting the sugar out of your coffee really slowly bit by bit? years ago i used to take 2 in tea but cut it down half a spoonful at a time over months giving my tastebuds time to get used to it, now i find i cant drink tea with sugar.
Buddingblonde please post your menu plan, im always on the look out for easy veggie recipies as i find i can get stuck in a rut eating the same foods over
Hope everyone has a great day, and best wish to those that are ill

Hi all. Managed to fit in some unexpected exercise this morning thanks to the snow we've had overnight. I live on quite a steep hill and I couldn't get the car off the driveway this morning, so had to walk the children to school instead, which is a 35 min round trip. I live on the East Kent coast and we very rarely have any snow that settles but around 7cm fell last night and is still here this morning, much to the children's delight :)

Last two days have pretty good - I've managed to stay focussed and hoping for the same today. The children went back to school today, so the great post-Christmas tidy up begins. I've treated myself to EA Active Personal Trainer for the Wii which I'm hoping to take a look at early this week. Provided I can get to the sports centre the plan is to do a spinning class tomorrow morning.

I can't believe how many of us there are this month! How exciting! Imagine the collective poundage we could drop!

Also, I want to apologise in advance....I have a really bad memory and will occasionally forget everyone in such a large goup, so please know that its not intentional!
