I find the best thing at night for me is frozen fruit. I blk buy grapes, strawberries and blueberries, chop the strawberries and freeze them in sandwich bags. If I fancy a sweet snack I 'treat' myself to a bag. They take ages to eat and are very sweet.

Hope you haven't succumbed to temptation Bramble! Although I agree with Jackie, what you've eaten today doesn't seem like an awful lot.

On a completely unrelated note, is anyone on here in need of any size 20/22 clothing? I've just had a good old clearout of my wardrobe and there's a large heap on the floor waiting to go to the charity shop - I'm happy to send it your way instead :)

I had a couple of slices of the bread we made, i know it's doesn't sound much but roughly works out to be enough for my daily calories, not spent them in the best way, should have had more fruit and veg. It's a big learning curve though, today i shall put more effort into my planning!

  • Weighed myself today and it seems that eating fairly normally (as opposed to Christmas bingeing) has brought my weight down a little. I've not been eating as I should though - still too much bread and not enough of anything nutritious!

Need to go grocery shopping tomorrow and I can then start afresh. :T

    Dumb question alert :o

I didn't know you could freeze grapes or strawberries? Do you literally just freeze them as they are?

Hey I would love them!! I'm about a 22/24 at the moment, but still wearing most of my 'big' (26/28) clothes. just can't seem to get myself to the shops for much more than the odd t-shirt or skirt, as i don't want to buy too much til i'm happy with my weight!
I'm willing to pay postage! Anyway let me know and i'll pm you or vise vera! xx

Another really good snack is popcorn, if you make your own you can control what toppings (if any) go on it too. Great for mindless munching! bought some popping corn today. 55p for a big bag!

Got up bright and early this morning (well the early bit is about right) had bran flakes with skimmed milk for breakfast and then have been swimming for 2 hours (went to local Sandcastle Water park and as it was quite been swimming widths across the wave pool)

Came back home and have put a stew on with lean stewing beef, onion, carrots, parsnips, swede and stock. It smells delicious!

Im living by the twenty min rule (work well for quiting smoking too) if i feel hungry i have a drink if 20 mins later im still hungry i eat.
The last 2 evenings have been hard not picking as that what ive gotten use to doing, hopefully that will get better over the next week.
Ive been sorting out the mountain of paperwork to keep busy and my ironing is up to date.
As its a sunday :) i had a scrambled egg, mushrooms and beans for brekie, there is no point soup and a brown roll in the fridge for lunch ( but oddly im not hungry yet)
and im doing quorn fillets steamed pots, leeks, carrots peas and sweetcorn for tea.
Im already not feeling as bloated as i did. im quite lucky in being a veggie things like quorn are already lower in fat then even the leanest of meats.
But for the love of brie!! is hard when the recomended allowance for cheese is normally what i eat while making a cheese sarnie.

Or if you're too lazy to make it yourself ( :o ) M&S do a 6 pack of mini bags of popcorn which are 55 cals each. Makes a nice alternative to meringues - they've been my only treat during the diet and I'm getting bored of them!
