Just got back from our weekly shop with a trolley full of healthy foods - DH is trying to lose weight too so he will eat whatever I eat. I think it is portion control with us as he goes back for seconds, thirds, fourths etc.

    Some meals for this week:

Haddock, new potatoes and green beans
Home made leek and potato soup (enough to cover two days)
    Stew
Home made spaghetti bolognaise (leftovers could be had with jacket potato)
Grilled sausage, corn on the cob and swede and potato mash
    Tuna salad

Have bought lots of things for store cupboard too such as couscous, flour, eggs etc.

For breakfast we have porridge and bran flakes.

Have bought lots of fruit (oranges, apples, bananas) Muller Rice was on offer too so have bought some of those.

Also we're off swimming tomorrow (really looking forward to it)

we were going to buy philly in asda this morn and changed our minds as we didnt think it would be poss

This is the Norwegian Fish Pie recipe that has the philly cheese sauce in it

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/norwegianfishpie_92184.shtml

We used the whole tub of Philly (sorry leaving 25g seemed a little pointless!) and we use semi-skimmed milk - if you can wait a tad longer I can work out the kcals on Calorie Count as well! (for the sauce that is) - oh and if you think your OH might spot you are fobbing him off with Quorn mince do half and half OR use turkey mince which is lower fat as well

Welcome to the group salnew and Curlytop40 and please jump in and start chatting (all are welcome here), Curlytop - no problem at all with there being more than a week between weigh ins - some people can only weigh once a fortnight - others every 10 days - it depends when you can get to the same set of scales! The main thing is we all want to get slimmer and healthier and that is our starting point.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Urgh...I'm going out tonight for the last bash of the season (I hope) have been so reclusive this year and tonight feels....a real effort. My skin has been god and has suffered in the last couple of days (I thin the weather and less exercise has a lot to do with it?).

I hope when I'm slim again parties will seem like more fun!
