hi all
well done MrsM for finishing your lady she is stunning, if you dont mind me asking how long did she take?
Shelly sorry im late but i do hope you had a lovely birthday, and its brill hubbys getting your cross stitch for you
Judellie I love your baby oranagtan (sp?) they always remind me of my lad when he was a baby all eyes and ginger sticky up hair :smileyhea:heart2:
Keiss '3 foot by 2 foot  its a brilliant pic though
well great excitment here my threads have arrived (stunning colours) great to see them in the life rather than just a picfabric marker has also arrived, got fabric, sooo i can make a start on 'dragon riders' :j:j:j:j

afternooon,
does anyone have the chart of charlies ark "special delivery" (the cot one) that they have finished with?? I can't really justify buying it when I have other birth samplers I could use instead but I reallly like this one.
thanks in advance.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Afternoon all
Just taking a break from the sewing before I go cross eyed  -ecky thump this chart is "interesting" -its very similar to a big blue dragon on a celtic ring I did for my niece -teeny tiny symbols and 1 of this 1 of that -so me thinks this could be quite a long project :rotfl:
Witchwoopiggy -I have just looked back and I started "forest light" on the 5th september -but there were 3 whole months when I came out of the hospital that I didn't even have the energy to look at it -let alone do any-so it has taken me about 2.5 months....Im amazed as I thought it was longer than that
Sweetcarer - can I ask what the stitch count is on your "golden earth" and how many colours it has? only I seem to remember there being some difference in the finished sizes and can't figure out how -unless the stitch count is different  -it is driving me nuts :rotfl: -and if it the same as the one I have -can you start it asap -so I have someone to go cross eyed with please
Right -better get back and get some done ...happy stitching everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

hello? can i visit? i'm usually over in the sewing thread, or Old Style, but i've a question that i hope someone here can answer.
i sew (mostly stuffies and patchwork), and embroider too. But a friend has got me into the idea of XSticth. And i'm liking it a lot. I've bought the xstitch magazine with the Japanese Doll kit attached, and have got all excited
.
I'm going on holiday abroad soon, and will take some stitching with me to do there, but after seeing the DMC thread cutter pendant in a craft store today and seeing that it says on the wrapper it's 'airplane safe', i've been thinking... does anyone have any recent-ish experience of sewing on a plane? or is it banned?even if the cutter is safe (direct.gov now say blunt scissors under 3cm are ok), how about the needle?
thanks for any advice. oh, and i'm totally overwhealmed by the size and scope of your projects - they are amazing!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I went abroad on a plane recently and was fine taking one needle on board. I packed another in the hold just in case something happened to that one but there were no problems with the one I kept with me on the flight.0

Hmm I've not tried it myself, but have seen somewhere to check with the airline that you are fliying with.
I have the clover one myself and it works a treat, I tend to loop the chain I have around the wrist that I hold my loop with as it's easier to use than round my neck.
Good luck
