Penni, congratulations on your new grandson.

That cross stitch is amazing. Please can I ask where it came from and if you can change the boots to pink or if there is a girl version. I would love something like that as a proper birth picture for my daughter.

Some of the designs look amazing although I've never really taken on a project so massive before. They do look really stunning though - almost as good as the real thing!
  • does anyone know of any (other then the all our yesterdays where you only see backs) charts with 2 brothers on?? i'd like to see faces or in profile. preferably one a bit onlder then the other? if it has a countryside/ farming theme that would be fab too. I want to do a unique birth sampler in that it has new baby's details on as well as his older brothers.

This is a x stitch that I made for my new grandson. The browns nearly did my head in! But it was really worth sticking with it, the back stitching suddenly bought it all together and wasnt as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I have since added a verse and his name etc.

Love everybodies stitching. You all got me finishing a project that was 2 years in the making I will see if I've got a photo of it.

Pennib I did this one not so long back too, it's beautiful isn't it. I have another chart similar that I might do sometime but I've just started a baby sampler for my daughters baby due in about 7 weeks.
    £2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.

That's really lovely, what an heirloom, especially now you've added the date and his name.

Wow isn't everybody helpful:D If ever I can't find a chart I will know where to come

Thank you everybody for your kind comments.

s0237276 Yes I have looked at their site, unfortunately they are a bit too complicated for me, what with blending and all. Will leave that to Louise and Mrs.M :rotfl:

Harley1 I hope that you win the chart you wont regret stitching it!

Thanks Chicky. I've put that one on watch in case I don't win the magazine. She has 2 available too so hopefully I'll get it cheaply one way or another. I've so nearly finished the sheep. Baby usually sleeps til 9am and I'd hoped to do some this morning before she got up, but no... she had me up at 5am for the first time since she was about 6 weeks old. Typical, that'll teach me to try to make plans. Hopefully she'll sleep later and give me chance to finish off.

Have found the phone/computer cable so will try to upload the pics when I've finished.

Keep your fingers crossed for that magazine for me, it finishes tonight.
