  • Good luck with your search Shelley, I hope you find what you are looking for.

I should do one for my mum at some point, I've been stitching for years but never done anything for her. I'm sure I'll come across one that really jumps out!

There are some lovely fuchsia and hummingbird kits, which I quite like, on sewandso.

This is a x stitch that I made for my new grandson. The browns nearly did my head in! But it was really worth sticking with it, the back stitching suddenly bought it all together and wasnt as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I have since added a verse and his name etc.

Love everybodies stitching. You all got me finishing a project that was 2 years in the making I will see if I've got a photo of it.

Penni, congratulations on your new grandson.

That cross stitch is amazing. Please can I ask where it came from and if you can change the boots to pink or if there is a girl version. I would love something like that as a proper birth picture for my daughter.

    Harley1.

I bought the chart from Ebay. And the boots were originally in cream but I changed them to blue. So they would look just as good in pink. The design is by Maria Diaz and I am sure that some years ago this was originally in a cross stitch magazine. Maybe if you got in contact with the mag they could point you in the right direction or have a look on ebay :)

Maria transformed a photo of her own child that her hubs was holding into the chart. Wish I was that clever. I think it can be either a boy or girl myself. What about putting a bit of pink in the vest as well?

    Hope that helps you

Oooh, you ladies are so lovely.

Off to try to win it now. Thanks very much. Just dropped to statutory maternity pay this month so if I can't get the ebay one I'll have to wait until July when I go back to work.

Thank you all, I'll get it one way or another, just hope I don't have to wait.

Dont worry about the stocking Mrs M, I'll do the polar bear one that I have here. I've not ordered the threads yet but I'll wait now just in case I win the magazine too.
