I love that robin! I'd be delighted to get one of those on my presents :T

Aww thanks - good ol' CrossStitcher eh... I still don't know if I like the new format, but when I tried to explain to mum that I wanted a different mag this year, she didn't get it, so I let her renew (she had a stroke in July, and has been left a bit broken! I guess I should be grateful that she's up to making phone calls to renew!)

I've finished that cat cushion you inspired me to do Mags - I'll pop up a photo I think... I love this super whizzy clever mobile phones :)

Hoorah for another thing *off* the universal UFO list :rotfl:

What have you got planned next?
  • Oh I don't know..... I am 55% through 100 cats and a mouse (google it lol) but I am fed up with it. I meant to do it in 3 months, but so far it's taken me a year... So that's on hold.

I had a shuffle through my stash box. There're hundreds of things I wanted to do at some point in there, but would I be bad if I said I didn't fancy doing any of them...

So I've been searching, and I like these three:

    1) http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=69313&ww=1
    2) http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=71986&ww=1
    3) http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=71985&ww=1

but... I really shouldn't buy any more should I!

    I'd better make a list :)

    Hey :)

I've done three this afternoon - 1 with metallic, 2 with bits of normal stuff. Don't really look any less good for being in normal thread...

Hang on, I'll try and do a quick photo on my phone :)....

Fab piccies and I agree they look really nice in ordinary colours. Is the first time I've bought cross stitcher cos I liked the look of all the patterns in it - they are really good as gift ideas for lots of friends and really up to date with trends (sorry if you're reading this word of cross stitcher but yours was really not my kind of thing - it was yesteryear stuff which does nothing for me I'm afraid)

That's it then the kids can watch tv and get themselves to bed whil bad mummy sits and stitches - after all I have to get them done for Saturday don't I:p
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

I've seen your 100 cats one on the Flickr group - it's definately on my wish list for some time in the future.

I'd say if you've got kits that you bought/were given ages ago and they just don't *do it* for you any more you could always sell them on eBay - you'd probably make enough to buy a new kit that you do want. I did that a few years ago - cleared out six or seven things that I just couldn't ever see myself completing and made enough to buy some more.....recycling on a slightly batty scale :rotfl:

OOhh I've done that pattern, it's lovely. I see you've done yours on evenweave, mine was done 14 count aida. (not brave enough to venture into other material!) I'm going to make mine into a cushion have got some burnt orange velvety type material. What are you going to do with yours?

I don't find linen or even weave any more or less difficult than aida to be honest. Infact, if it has lots of 1/2 stitches, it's easier :)

I am hoping the ice will have subdued enough tomorrow for me to venture to Dunelm Mill - where I will buy a cushion to stitch it onto.

At that point it will miraculously turn itself into a Christmas pressie for !!!!!!'s mum & dad, and I will be crowned favourite DIL!

I will make a list and see if any of them are worth anything :)

I really struggle with the concept because I know I am losing so much money on their initial value... but they are worth zilcho in a plastic box in the cupboard aren't they :)

Oh I know the 100 cats and a mouse design. I spotted it on the Black Sheep craft site and was tempted but as much as I like cat themed cross stitch, the cats weren't cute enough for me and I also have plenty in my stash to keep me stitching for many months if not years to come :rotfl:

Just 24 more hours and that will be me done with work for xmas. yay. can't wait. so looking forward to getting up when I fancy and lots of time to cross stitch. :j

got home late tonight :( so not sure any more stitches will get added to my row of cats today but there will certainly be plenty of time to stitch soon.

I have been so disorganized this year :(- I was stitching an xmas card for a friend in August ! but got distracted by another project and it has remained unfinished as has my Rudolf card (free with cross stitch card shop) for my OH. I did finish a snowman design but have put it somewhere *safe* never to be found again well maybe in time for next xmas :j
    just 3 more sleeps :xmassmile:xmassign:
