mmmm your soup sounds nice - can you share the recipe ? I have a butternut squash in my fridge that needs using up.

    QUOTE]

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil till nice and soft (about 5 mins in pan medium heat with lid on)
Chuck in cubes of carrot and butternut squash cook on medium heat for about 10 mins (till soft)
Add about 850ml of chicken or veg stock and seasoning - thyme is good too
Bring to boil then simmer for 30 mins
    Blend with a blender
Eat! (and plenty left for another day)

I use it quite often to use up carrots and have tried beef stock last night cos had nowt else in and its yummy.

Hope the following helps, it's what I gave Charliec45 when they had trouble with Flickr:

    1) Go to the picture you want to show us click the 'Share This' button on the top left of the picture, this will show you a number of options and the one you need is called 'Grab the HTML/BBCode', Tick the button for BBCode and it'll convert the code to what you need.
    2) Copy the text in the box and paste it into a new post on MSE and it should have everything you need to insert the image into your post. You can check this by clicking Preview Message.

Let me know if you have any problems and I can get some screenshots together for you.

    - Kerry

Thank you - will have a look :j EDIT yay it works !!!:D thank you :D

slightly off topic but hope you won't mind. have you seen this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1901991 worth a read. I've had two unauthorised payments taken from my bank account via my debit card. keep an eye on those bank statements particularly if 02 is your phone operator as it might be easy to confuse a fraudulent transaction with one you have made.

no cross stitching for me today - but count down now - just 2 days left at work then lots of relaxation and cross stitch. yay - can't wait !!

A Bothy Threads Kit that I fell in love with called A Row of Cats. This is my xmas project.
This photo shows the first nine stitches of the design. I have also gone round the aida edge to stop the material fraying although you can't see this because I have used white thread.
The cat that I have started is called Chester. I think I am going to work on the basis that I complete a whole cat (backstitch and all) before moving on to the next cat.
I shall share my stitching progress :-0)

I managed to finish my last xmas card today they took forever, next year i will pick smaller designs, use proper aperture cards and start in June :D

Off topic but everything just shook here, i think it was an earthquake :rotfl: Will keep you posted.

First evening's progress with the wedding sampler :

Loving the design - very easy to stitch - but some of the symbols are awfully similar. I've already unpicked some parts.....gah!

It's looking lovely already - nice colours and very neat smooth stitches.

    Dear nmm,

your cards are great, it's such a shame that you have to give them away ;) but I'm sure the recipients will treasure them. I also plan to start early with my cards for next Christmas, it's going to be my main challenge for 2011.

Lovely cards nmm, specially like the eskimo character. :D

Mags_cat - that's a fair bit in one day :) Any 'reverse stitching' will be worth it once it's completed :T

Have hardly touched my own stitching. :o The amount left to do I should have been able to complete by now but have hardly had time to pick it up. Tonight will be my 5th (and hopefully final!) evening spent wrapping parcels, got the nursery carol concert and school nativity tomorrow so that will keep me out of mischief then as well :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is looking forward to the big day - only 3 more sleeps! :j:j

Nmm those cards are really cute!

I haven't done any stitching for a few days now but it feels like weeks. Hubby has finished work until the new year as he had to use or lose his last few days annual leave so he decided to use them :D
Trouble is as soon as I decide to do some stitching he asks shall we pop out for this or that...or shall we watch a film...so I have given up thinking I'll get any stitches done until maybe xmas day.
Usually after dinner hubby and my parents fall asleep so I'l hopefully get some stitching done when they are all snoring :rotfl:
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
