You can have it if you want it ;)

Don't say that! I'm trying to resist too.....it's not like I'm short of things to do :rotfl:
  • Ooo I'm happy to adopt any metallic threads that are likely not to be used, I can get on with them okay for my stuff. ;)

I've done 4 snowflakes in metallic threads and will need to make these into cards for Christmas.

There is nothing worse than stitching to a deadline.....

I remember once doing the "Appache wedding sampler" for one of my colleagues. He spent a few weeks as my stand in boss while the proper one was away and I had to go and ask him for a week off in order to get the thing finished. He said "Are you going away?" and I had to bite my lip and not say "No, I'll be sewing your blinkin' wedding present!".

Luckily, his wife loved it :D

(To be fair, I also did lots of other things with my week off - it wasn't *quite* 24 hour cross stitch!)

Yep, I've taken a couple of days off before to get a present stitched in time for a birthday. Nothing like a deadline to sharpen the mind.

I loveee it - don't suppose the chart is still knocking around is it before I google it this evening?? :D Although saying that I *waas* stitching SinL a baby sampler for her newest till everything happened at beginning of the year and I couldn't pick it up - when I explained I found out she was having one stitched by her friend (tactful was't she). So I was thinking of doing it for her wedding at end of next year ..........

OHHH on 2nd thoughts I know someone else getting married 2 months later who would love it even more..... :j:j It'll be easy to use my maternity leave to stitch in won't it with a toddler and newborn!!

I find it depends what type of metallic threads I am using if I can do em or not. DMC ones are fine (which reminds me Santa was gonna bring me some pearly ones and forgot to order em :( gonna have to pay for em in town now!) however I had some other ones(for some reasaon i want to say kreniwhatsit ones they were free off a mag in long silver packets) which were HORRIBLE and got thrown in the bin after 1 attempt before I tried unsuccessfully to use them again.

Last day of work until Christmas - WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. opps and its 8am and I still haven't drunk my cup of tea and left the house....nor is DH or DS out of bed hmmm lazy flexi morning i think :T

WHY WHY WHY does DS have a lie in on daddy's day off but insists he HAS to get up at 6.30 on mummy's days off???
Think baby Noah is having a growth spurt I was SOOO tired last night. DS was eating tea (very slowly) with us and at 8pm i actually fell asleep!!! put him to bed at 8.30 and went and curled up in mine with Gorden Ramsey and was asleep by 9.10. didn't wake up till 7 this morning - except for when DH came to bed and I realised I'd been lying in my back and had to try and agonisingly move onto my side thanks to baby squasiing all the nerves. OWWWWWWW
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Aww thanks - good ol' CrossStitcher eh... I still don't know if I like the new format, but when I tried to explain to mum that I wanted a different mag this year, she didn't get it, so I let her renew (she had a stroke in July, and has been left a bit broken! I guess I should be grateful that she's up to making phone calls to renew!)

I've finished that cat cushion you inspired me to do Mags - I'll pop up a photo I think... I love this super whizzy clever mobile phones :)

I adore this and the 'love cats' you've chosen, any chance of a ;);)

Seriously addicted to my cross stitch atm and wondering if I can slip a small kit into my bag for Christmas day in case everyone falls asleep after dinner. First Christmas with h2b and his family so not sure if I can! Maybe just pop my secret perfumed 'strawberries' kit in, it's only tiny, nobody will even notice :D
