    Where is the photo stored?

Photobucket. And on my phone as well. I think the email said it would be in issue 236 of CrossStitcher. I have a subscription at the moment, so look forward to it arriving soon :-)

It started off ok. I'm feeling a bit better, so thought I'd get my stitching out & finish off the last bit of backstitching. That's now done!
    http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad11/Honey_4/My%20cross%20stitch/SpooltreeforMum.jpg

Then I got a call from my stepmum. She wanted to know if I knew my Dad's passwords for the computer. I don't know if any of you remember, but back in April, I suspected my Dad of cheating and when I called him to find out, he admitted it. Apparently he told his wife in October and they are going to split up, although he's refusing to move out. Anyway, she was upset and trying to find out more info because he's gone away for the weekend and she's convinced he's with another woman. He's said it's over with this other woman & claims he's gone away with a mate, but we all know he's lying.
I told her to change the locks and not let him back, but I doubt she'll do that. I'm so upset. He's a lying, cheating pig and I want nothing to do with him anymore. I'm having a hard enough time as it is what with christmas coming up and not having Grandma here for it. I keep going from wanting to smash things up, to sobbing...
There's not really anyone here I can turn to, so thought I'd come and rant to my online friends. Thanks for listening. It feels good to get it out.

Aw flipping heck, what a situation :( You must have a really good relationship with your stepmum for her to be able to turn to you about this. There's not much I can say which will improve the situation, but just to reassure you that we are all here whenever you want to let off steam

    (((hugs)))

(((hugs))) <--that one is for your stemmum, she sounds like she has been through a tough year as well

Thank you so much, Louise. That's so nice of you to send hugs to my stepmum too. I'm glad she called me. She's a nice person and really does not deserve to be treated like this. I must admit that I've been a bit naughty and opened one of my christmas presents because I needed cheering up. I poked things until I found a chocolate bar shaped one. Thank you Julie for the Baileys truffle bar! Much needed. Got a headache now, so might go back to bed and watch TV in the bedroom for a while.

Ab7167 I Love those baby booties! Apart from cross stitching I dont do any sewing but they do remind me of a pair of booties I made in my cake decorating class. Congrats for getting published too!

I use photobucket too and have to always resize otherwise my pics on here would be massive :D

    Here's how to resize....

Once in your album hover your mouse over the pic you want to resize and a box will pop up around the pic with some options, choose edit. Pic will open up on another page. Above the pic there will be yet more options, choose resize.
Personally I tick the box to keep proportions and I also tick the use percentages box. Once percentages box is ticked I change the boxes that contain 100x100 to 50x50 then hit apply. Then underneath the pic there are yet more options (you might need to scroll down a little) I always choose to replace original (I have the original stored on pc so no problem if photobucket dies)

Have a play around and find what's best for you. Hope that helps!

oh dear Ruth, so sorry to hear this is coming to a head. i do remember you saying ages ago about it, and i guess these things can't go on forever so there's bound to be a 'crunch' point. what a shame it's right before xmas though.

we're always listening. i'm glad you can be there for your stepmum, that must be so reasuring for her. *hugs* for you both.

your 'spool tree' is awesome! i couldnt picture what you meant; it's just brilliant! :T

i'll second the 'it's not right without grandma' sentiment. my nan was the centre of things, more of a mother than my real one; without her it's all feeling somewhat contrived and meaningless. can't we just skip it and go straight to easter? :easter:
