Ewww what a horrible morning...
I woke up this morning and I thought "I know I'll sort through my wardrobe.." Like a fool I decided I'd hoover underneath it... Why did I do that.
Any how, I shuffled all the furniture about pulled out the wardrobe and was greeted with a wall of black mould(I took photos, if i am smart enough I will upload it)
I scrubbed it all off and it looks ok - I am just worried that there's something more sinister going on. I will do the other wardrobe and the chest of drawers later..
I think I'll treat myself to some cross stitch now... But then i must get back to the clothes sorting.

Thank you for answering my questions, I now understand UFO and yes I also have lots of those!!:o Looking through the thread I've saved several ideas for my next project - but they will stay 'ideas' until I have finished [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] all of my UFO
My UFO
A girl on the beach (like the one someone posted on here, for my mums 70th - she is 78 now!)
An American Indian 'tree' (bought just before 9/11)
A clock from Li*l (at least 5 yrs old)
14 freebies from magazines (I didn't buy the mags, my DS1 knew a girl at school whose father packed them, he's 25 now)
A bird/teddy (can't remember, from my OH last Christmas, cost him a fortune and I really don't like it, might leave that one)
A sampler for my DD1 18th or 21st (did start it, she is 24 now)
A clown tapestry (bought before I was married, 30 yrs ago)
I've never listed them before - I feel ashamed. I have the 14 freebies here with me and I can't even manage those, is there any hope?
Still tempted to get one of the 'Dictionary of .......' kitsDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Can you sell the ones you've not started?0

looby-loo........ why not ask 'santa' to buy you a dictionary of for christmas...... hopefully when you have done that you will have the stitching bug back and feel you can pick up some UfOs - I know I have to put mine aside for a while sometimes until i get the urge to pick them up again.
Agreeing with tmif - you could always ebay the ones you know you will never do - even cover kits sell for a decent price if you do them as a bundle.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Hi
Selling would be a good idea but I really like them, except the one DH bought me and I couldn't upset him. The problem is they are in the UK and DH ad DD1 wouldn't have a clue how to list them as I've opened them they would need checking.
I've asked DD to order a selection of DMC threads and send them out to me. She wants to send a present and postage wont be too much. Then I can make a start on the freebies. That will be a start.
Many thanksDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

Selling unliked presents isn't a problem is it? I do it all the time!!! Bad me!!!!!!
BF's mum got me a bluetits kit for my birthday. Now it's nice, but it's not my thing! It's in the box of ebay things next time I have a splurge
Are you somewhere exotic and warm. If so, do you have a spare room0 -
Oh speaking of work I have got a new job that starts in January. No more wearing a uniform for me
Although it means I'll have to go out and buy some office type clothes as I don't have much in my wardrobe that I can wear. Oh well. Maybe in the Jan sales.
Happy stitching everyone!
Hi Elle
When I left a unifomed position I bought a lot of tops ffrom Matalan. basically long sleeved T-shirts, but they look great with a skirt and boots and a few accessories. Don't know how office-y you have to look. I actually bought a couple of new ones this morning for £4 each.
Also got some black wellies with pink flowers on which I think I'm gonna need over the next few weeks.
Thought I'd catch up on here quickly, then I need to wrap some presents whilst h2b is at work. Then put It's a wonderlife life in the video and stitch away the rest of the dayMarried 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Well ds has done the typical toddler thing of being really poorly yesterday and being 120% today! He is eating, running around everywhere and is really good fun to be with.
Have re-arranged all our finances through the bank today so we are starting off on a virtually clean slate (apart from one smaller payment each month). Have also been out and bought our Christmas tree - dd wanted to bu one that had lost its top because she said it was specail but no-one would buy it (we only managed to leave it at the shop because we explained that it would be shredded and turned into mulch for other new trees to grow)
My olds have also been on the phone to say they move into their flat on wednesday and the house is already being gutted - have filled 1 skip andanother coming tomorrow. All flooring has gone, all electrical goods gone (including a small tv that you had to squint to see the picture clearly), new boiler , pump and fire needed cos they are full of water, and mum has got a kitchen brochure to choose her new kitchen from. The only thing they won't replace is the gas cooker cos it works but she reckons they might buy a new one anyway!
So looks like they will enjoy quite a silver lining from the cloud of the flood iyswim - but still wouldn't wish it on anyone
Am going to start my Michael Powell chapel over Christmas - and will probably still be doing it next Christmas!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170
