Done mostly by putting that darn laptop down and getting on with it. will try again to do the same this week.0 -
I've stitched eight out of nine of my Santas - and six are made up and hanging on the tree!
They will all be finished in time for Christmas, I am determined. :j
(Admittedly I did spend all day yesterday doing Santa 8 - I probably stitched for about eight hours. Housework was definately not on the agenda...)0 -

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Thanks Ruth. it looks like we'll exchange/complete before, but as we now know the house needs rewiring, we wont be able to move in till the new year i suppose. so we'll have an extra mortgage repayment on our current place which wont help. good job we didnt rent it out already i suppose.
thanks biker chick, her eyes are fine, but a larger chart is always helpful. i think we'll get it for her. then i can stitch on xmas day and encourage her to start too!
cheap threads - i pour hot water on a sample of them to see if they run. so far the 99p Stores ones are fine. i figure if they can withstand boiling water they'll withstand a quick dunk if they need it sometime.
update - i didnt get much stitching done this wknd, but did do nearly 2 hours on the exercise bike watching Strictly, so that's good of me isnt it! :j
i've finishded the robin for parents card, just need to fiddle with buttons and felt now to complete it.

There was some Ton and Jerry on sew and so but apparently discontinued now. so they DO exist.
will look in tv sitcher later on for you.
Minnie Mouse is a bit easier tho:

Here's my weekly update...

and this week:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi,
I've read back about 20 or so pages and now I've got to the end, I'm posting. I'm currently in the middle of the mice Christmas stocking that was in Cross Stitcher a couple of months ago (I think). I'm about halfway through and wondering if I'll get it finished for Christmas
I've asked for a subscription to XS Gold for Christmas and I'm planning on subscribing to others as I buy them every month anyway.
I've currently got a 'Top 10' of projects that I want to stitch, plus finishing a cushion that I've started.
Could I have an invite to the photo group please? Or could someone tell me what site it is, as I think I might already be registered.
With cheap threads, if you wet a cotton bud, lay the thread on a spare bit of white aida and run the cotton bud over it, that tells you if it's going to run when you wash it - if the white aida's still pure white, it won't.0 -
